Episode 3 recap: Chen Man Cang met the city lord.
After being captured, the person in front of him immediately began questioning him. When Chen Man Cang saw the other person's anger, he quickly found excuses to defend himself. He even mentioned the city lord, claiming that he was prepared to successfully complete the water conservancy project regardless of whether or not he had that thing. Upon hearing his explanation, the other person started to suspect that the city lord's performance today was just an act in front of everyone. They continued to praise the person next to them for being observant and began to doubt whether Chen Man Cang had leaked any information.
Just as they were about to take action against him, they suddenly heard voices from outside the door. The people inside the room were afraid of being discovered, so they had no choice but to send Chen Man Cang away. Yun, the shopkeeper, saw that Chen Man Cang wasted no time in bringing him to his own residence.
The next day, when it was daylight, Chen Man Cang started plotting again. The people behind him hurriedly chased after him with tools.
