Episode 13 recap: Shang Guan Zui sought refuge with the Northern Rong.
Tai Chu gave the sprout heart to He Lan Xin Yue, expressing that no matter where he is, as long as He Lan Xin Yue uses the sprout heart to call him, he will return swiftly. Meng Yi Lang said that even if they can't hold their ground, they must still defend it to buy time for Zhao Guang Ye. As for themselves, they are prepared to die in battle.
Shang Guan Zui expressed gratitude for the utmost hospitality and stated that he is willing to face any danger for him without hesitation. Tai Chu mentioned that the day the divine physician spoke of is coming in three days and asked He Lan Xin Yue if she is afraid. He Lan Xin Yue felt that she needs her eyes and noticed that Tai Chu's condition seems to have improved.
Tai Chu mentioned that after resting on Snow Peak for a few days, he has indeed gotten much better. He believes that Snow Peak is where they grew up and they should take a closer look. As for themselves, they are prepared to die in battle, even if they can delay the enemy for a while.

He Lan Xin Yue opened her eyes but still couldn't see. The divine physician explained that the cold poison within He Lan Xin Yue is extremely severe, and whether she can regain her sight depends on fate. He Lan Xin Yue expressed disbelief in fate and decided to seek help from someone else since the divine physician couldn't cure her.
He Lan Xin Yue asked Tai Chu to go back and help Zhao Guang Ye, stating that Zhao Guang Ye needs Tai Chu now. She will go and ring the Snowfall Holy Bell, which is a signal for the Snowfall Saintess to seek help from the world. She will wait here for renowned physicians to come and treat her.
Tai Chu disagreed, concerned that this would reveal He Lan Xin Yue's whereabouts to the Northern Rong. He Lan Xin Yue, as a young girl, believed that the Northern Rong wouldn't risk the consequences of killing her. Tai Chu decided to wait until He Lan Xin Yue rings the holy bell and renowned physicians arrive before returning.
Zhao Guang Ye came to discuss an alliance with Princess Qiu Yi. Princess Qiu Yi insisted that Zhao Guang Ye must cede territories, but Zhao Guang Ye refused, and they failed to reach an agreement. Princess Qiu Yi brought up something that Zhao Guang Ye had promised her before, but Zhao Guang Ye didn't remember and asked what he had promised.
Princess Qiu Yi said that since Zhao Guang Ye didn't remember, she wouldn't remember either. He Lan Xin Yue rang the holy bell, and now everyone knows she is here. He Lan Xin Yue urged Tai Chu to hurry back and help Zhao Guang Ye, explaining that both Zhao Guang Ye and Princess Qiu Yi are stubborn and unwilling to back down. Therefore, they couldn't reach an agreement at the moment. However, Princess Qiu Yi cares about the people, so reasoning with her might work.
Tai Chu returned to find Zhao Guang Ye, saying that He Lan Xin Yue had told him what to do, and he was willing to talk to Princess Qiu Yi. Zhao Guang Ye stated that they had exhausted all their options and told Tai Chu to give it a try. If it didn't succeed, he wouldn't blame Tai Chu.
He Lan Xin Yue's father came to find her, expressing that though he didn't want her to stay, he reluctantly agreed to let her remain in the temple. Now that she had rung the holy bell, everyone would be drawn here, and she had to leave.
He Lan Xin Yue refused, believing that the Northern Rong wouldn't kill her. He considered himself a qualified clan leader but had to sacrifice himself and his sister. Tai Chu approached Princess Qiu Yi, explaining that if the Northern Rong became powerful, both their countries would be in danger, and their young king wouldn't be able to secure the throne.
