Episode 18 recap: Shang Guan Zui returned to Da Shang.
Princess Qiu Yi stated that Tai Chu had saved her and that he was a flesh-and-blood person. Upon Shang Guan Zui's return to Da Shang, the King of Da Shang had passed away, and General Zheng instructed Shang Guan Zui to pay his respects. Shang Guan Zui threw a white silk onto the Crown Prince to signify that he would not kill him himself, but rather make him repent day and night in front of this white silk in the future.
Shang Guan Zui became the King of Da Shang, indicating that Da Shang would be a vassal state of Bei Rong from now on. He Lan Xin Yue brought Tai Chu to find Princess Qiu Yi, who asked if someone had imprisoned Tai Chu and wanted to kill He Lan Xin Yue to secure Tai Chu's freedom. Tai Chu quickly interceded to stop Princess Qiu Yi.
He Lan Xin Yue stated that even if Princess Qiu Yi wanted to grant Tai Chu freedom, it ultimately depended on whether Tai Chu wanted it or not. He Lan Xin Yue did not prevent Tai Chu from leaving; it was Tai Chu's own choice to stay by her side. Princess Qiu Yi was saddened by this and asked He Lan Xin Yue to leave so she could speak privately with Tai Chu.
He Lan Xin Yue disagreed, but Tai Chu agreed. He Lan Xin Yue could only return first. He Lan Xin Yue discussed this with her sister, expressing that Tai Chu was clearly a tree, but Princess Qiu Yi insisted on treating it as a person, which would definitely lead to problems.
He Lan Xin Yue's sister suggested that whether He Lan Xin Yue emphasized that Tai Chu was a tree was meant for others to hear or for herself to believe. Tai Chu recounted a previous incident with He Lan Xin Yue when there was a severe drought. At that time, He Lan Xin Yue was still very young but noticed that Tai Chu had no water to drink, so she walked five kilometers to bring him water.
Tai Chu believed in repaying kindness with greater kindness and vowed to repay He Lan Xin Yue. Princess Qiu Yi asked Tai Chu if he would treat her the same way if she had been the one to give him water back then, to which Tai Chu replied that he did not know. Princess Qiu Yi stated that Tai Chu had saved her and that he was a flesh-and-blood person.
Upon hearing Princess Qiu Yi's words, Tai Chu was also very happy. Shang Guan Zui returned to Da Shang, where the King of Da Shang had passed away. General Zheng asked Shang Guan Zui to see him off. (End of segment.)
The Crown Prince is also here. Shang Guan Zui expressed that the thing he regrets the most is being born in the palace. The Crown Prince regretted not killing him and his mother together.

The Crown Prince cursed Shang Guan Zui as a traitor. The Crown Prince believed that they were born in such a palace to fight.

He Lan Xin Yue became very unhappy when she thought about Tai Chu worrying about Princess Qiu Yi. Tai Chu was puzzled and didn't know what he had done to upset He Lan Xin Yue. Now, He Lan Xin Yue would get angry over one or two words from Tai Chu and directly drove him away.
When He Lan Xin Yue came out, she didn't see Tai Chu but only her sister. She asked her sister where Tai Chu had gone. He Lan Xin Yue's sister said that Tai Chu appeared and disappeared without a trace, and she didn't know where he was.
He Lan Xin Yue saw Tai Chu return and realized that he had gone to Princess Qiu Yi. She became very unhappy, stating that Tai Chu only cared about Princess Qiu Yi and didn't care about her at all.
