Episode 23 recap: Zhao Guang Ye is trapped.
Zhao Guang Ye broke in and fought with the people here. He rescued Prince Nan Chu but couldn't escape himself. When Tai Chu and the others learned that Zhao Guang Ye didn't make it out, they were shocked and wanted to rescue him. Bei Rong Wang imprisoned Zhao Guang Ye. Zhao Guang Ye expressed his astonishment that Bei Rong Wang used such despicable means to bring Prince Nan Chu here just to lure him in. He stated that he had already arrived.
Bei Rong Wang claimed that he would use Zhao Guang Ye as bait to lure and kill the monster Tai Chu. Zhao Guang Ye pointed out that Bei Rong Wang sought revenge without knowing that his own son was killed by Shang Guan Zui.
Bei Rong Wang confirmed that he knew and had already conducted an investigation. Shang Guan Zui, He Lan Xin Yue, Zhao Guang Ye, and Tai Chu—each of them had his son's blood on their hands. Zhao Guang Ye did not expect that Bei Rong would know, and he had no intention of letting any of them go.
Tai Chu came and took away Shang Guan Zui. When He Lan Xin Yue encountered Shang Guan Zui, the latter claimed that he did not intend to harm her back then.
Tai Chu wanted to rescue Zhao Guang Ye, but He Lan Xin Yue stopped him, saying that Zhao Guang Ye had sent Tai Chu to capture Shang Guan Zui for the present moment and advised him not to act impulsively.
Bei Rong Wang had someone bring something in and warned Zhao Guang Ye to be cautious and not ignite the oil here. Tai Chu arrived and found Zhao Guang Ye. Zhao Guang Ye informed him that the place was filled with oil, and Bei Rong Wang set it up to deal with Tai Chu. He demanded that Zhao Chen Yang ascend the throne immediately.
Tai Chu assured that he wouldn't act recklessly and that he would find a way to rescue Zhao Guang Ye. Princess Qiu Yi spoke with Prince Nan Chu, who mentioned that Zhao Guang Ye saved him this time, and he was surprised by the great cost Zhao Guang Ye paid to rescue him. He planned to return to Nan Chu immediately and bring troops to save Zhao Guang Ye.
Princess Qiu Yi stated that Zhao Guang Ye saved Prince Nan Chu, and she would definitely rescue Zhao Guang Ye as well. However, she didn't want Nan Chu to be trapped in such a situation. Prince Nan Chu mentioned that now that he had seen Zhao Guang Ye, he understood why Princess Qiu Yi was willing to come to Dong Lin.
