Episode 31 recap: Zhao Guang Ye is critically ill.
The Prime Minister came to talk to Zhao Guang Ye about the current state affairs. However,Zhao Guang Ye is still unconscious. When he wakes up,Zhao Guang Ye asks the Prime Minister how things are. Qiu Yi, the eldest princess, asks the Prime Minister not to tell him. The Prime Minister assures Zhao Guang Ye that everything is fine.Zhao Guang Ye says even if they don't tell him, he can guess what's happening. He has been absent from court for a long time, and there must be a lot of rumors going on outside.
Now, the Prince of Nanchu is about to leave, and Zhao Guang Ye wants to see him off. Qiu Yi is concerned about Zhao Guang Ye's health, but Zhao Guang Yesays the doctor only advised him to rest. He assures Qiu Yi that it won't be too exhausting to go and see off the Prince of Nanchu. Besides, he needs to attend to court affairs to dispel the rumors. Reluctantly, Qiu Yi agrees.
He Lan Xin Yue and Taichu come to Xuefeng Mountain to find business opportunities but find no one inside. He Lan Xin Yue and Taichu bury the divine doctor. He Lan Xin Yue believes that if they hadn't come to find the divine doctor, he wouldn't have met such a tragic end. Taichu suspects that someone must have learned about Zhao Guang Ye's heart condition and didn't want the divine doctor to cure him, leading to the early demise of the doctor.
After He Lan Xin Yue returns, she tells Qiu Yi about the divine doctor's incident and asks where Zhao Guang Ye is. Qiu Yi assures her that Zhao Guang Ye must be attending court and will be returning soon. When Zhao Guang Ye returns, he is feeling very unwell and coughs up blood. Nanchu comes to visit Bei Rong Wang. Although Bei Rong Wang has regained consciousness, he is unable to move. Nanchu informs Bei Rong Wang about General Zheng's death, describing it as particularly brutal, with his body being pierced by random arrows even after his death.
