Episode 7 recap: Tai Chu discovered that Qing Bai had an accident.
Helan Xinyue brought a dagger and suggested that if there were knots on the wood, they could be cut open directly. Many of the knots in the mountains are lingzhi mushrooms, which she had seen many people come to collect before. Tai Chu was shocked by Helan Xinyue's appearance. Tai Chu was very surprised and expressed that something had happened to Qing Bai. Zhao Guangye and Prime Minister Su came to Nanchu, and Prime Minister Zhu explained that he had inquired about the situation. Currently, the young King of Nanchu has ascended the throne, and Princess Qiu Yi is very strict. Therefore, the only person who has a good relationship with the young King of Nanchu is Tao Gonggong, who raised him. The young King of Nanchu listens to everything Tao Gonggong says. Tai Chu was shocked and denied having done any of those things. Princess Qiu Yi mentioned that Tao Gonggong had already confessed, implicating him and Prime Minister Su. She said if anything happened to her younger brother, she would never let them off the hook. Tai Chu thought it could indeed be something Zhao Guangye would do and stated that he genuinely didn't know about it. He promised to investigate the matter thoroughly and assured her that they wouldn't harm her younger brother.
