Episode 14 recap: Su Wei An and Du Yun Cheng went on stage to sing together.
Su Wei An knew that Gu Yun Zheng had returned, and the hospital he was going to was where Gu Yun Zheng worked. Although they were not in the same building, Su Wei An wanted to catch a glimpse of him from afar. Early the next morning, Su Wei An arrived at the outpatient department. After making an appointment, she was about to leave when she saw Dr. Li constantly pestering Gu Yun Zheng. Jiang Mu Ying quickly forgave Fang Ming Fan. When Wen Ran arrived at the bar, she coincidentally saw Du Yun Cheng and Gu Yun Zheng chatting. Later, a drunken man approached, wanting to hit on Su Wei An. Wen Ran deliberately told him that Su Wei An on stage was looking for a romantic relationship, and the drunken man rushed over to harass her. However, Dr. Li intervened just in time, blocking the man's advances. As soon as Dr. Li turned around, the drunken man tried to throw something at her, but Gu Yun Zheng and Du Yun Cheng arrived just in time.
Gu Yun Zheng also noticed Wen Ran hiding in the corner and asked the bar owner to check the surveillance footage. Li Wan Tong initially wanted to introduce herself as Gu Yun Zheng's friend but Gu Yun Zheng preempted her, stating that she was just his colleague.
Su Wei An wanted to return to the stage for her performance, but the bar owner insisted she take a rest for the day. As Su Wei An tried to leave, Gu Yun Zheng called her back. Li Wan Tong, being a student of psychology, could naturally sense that there was something different about their relationship.
Under Li Wan Tong's instigation, Su Wei An reluctantly agreed to join them in playing a game. They started playing Truth or Dare. Jiang Mu Ying felt awkward about the current atmosphere and decided to play the dare. When it was Su Wei An's turn, Gu Yun Zheng initially wanted her to choose "truth," but she insisted on choosing "dare." After completing the dare, Su Wei An prepared to drink alcohol. Gu Yun Zheng walked over and questioned her, expressing his disappointment that she didn't even have the courage to look him in the eye. Su Wei An remained silent and left.
There's a reason why this drama caught the attention of the national broadcaster and made it to the mainstream. It's a domestically produced drama with a strong moral compass, grand in scale. Its greatest strength lies in its focus on the rare disease community, showcasing the confidence of the show.
