Episode 28 recap: Dong Jia Xi was confined to his home by Teacher Ding.

Teacher Ding sternly asked Yin Le what he did for a living. Yin Le had no choice but to truthfully admit that he ran a murder mystery game parlor. Teacher Ding clearly couldn't accept it, and Dong Jia Xi quickly explained what murder mystery games were about. Teacher Ding retorted that she knew it was just a bunch of idle people playing make-believe. Dong Jia Xi was at a loss for words, and Teacher Ding was still angry. She directly and tactfully asked Yin Le to leave. Yin Le was concerned about Dong Jia Xi and tried to ease the tension between them. However, Teacher Ding insisted on escorting Yin Le out, completely disregarding Dong Jia Xi's objection. Yin Le had no choice but to leave first.

Dong Jia Xi couldn't understand his mother's behavior, but Teacher Ding was determined to make Xi Xi take the Certified Public Accountant exam. Their argument escalated, and Dong Jia Xi was about to leave when unexpectedly, Teacher Ding quickly got up and stormed out of the room. Dong Jia Xi stood there in astonishment. Downstairs, Teacher Ding realized that Yin Le was still there. It turned out that Yin Le guessed that after their argument, Dong Jia Xi would slam the door and leave. So Yin Le decided to wait, but he didn't expect Teacher Ding to arrive first. Yin Le was doing his best to convince Teacher Ding, who was solely focused on what was best for Dong Jia Xi. Yin Le straightforwardly asked Teacher Ding for just one minute.

After leaving Teacher Ding's house, Zhang Pei, Dong Jia Xi, and Yin Le were clamoring about Liu Feng treating them to dinner. Xie Yang suggested a place, and surprisingly, he chose a dumpling restaurant. Liu Feng didn't understand why Xie Yang was belittling himself, but Xie Yang explained that it was simply because the food there was delicious. Liu Feng fell silent, and then Xie Yang recommended some tasty flavors to Zhang Pei. Zhang Pei made his selection, and Liu Feng quickly said he wanted the same. When Xie Yang placed the order, he simply asked for three identical servings. While eating, Xie Yang and Liu Feng continued their banter. Zhang Pei commented that the dumpling filling was larger than those in Beijing, and Liu Feng suggested having them delivered to Beijing. Then Xie Yang recommended another restaurant, emphasizing the importance of eating them fresh on the spot.

Zhang Pei was speechless and went directly to the restroom. Xie Yang and Liu Feng immediately entered into a competitive state. After a series of arguments, they finally reached a consensus on fair competition. Gou Dan Dan was working downstairs, while her mother was taking care of the baby upstairs. After a while, the baby started crying, and despite the late hour, the baby refused to sleep. Gou Dan Dan even mentioned hiring a nanny for the month and offering to pay for it herself, but she was adamant about not doing so. Eventually, the baby's restlessness became too much, and Gou Dan Dan took care of the baby while her mother went to rest.

Meanwhile, Teacher Ding returned home at night, and Dong Jia Xi was genuinely scared by her mother's behavior. He immediately said he would study and behave well, hoping that his mother would not leave again in the future. Dong Jia Xi studied until late at night, and after Teacher Ding checked on him, she went back to her room. At that moment, someone threw stones at Dong Jia Xi's window. To his surprise, it was Yin Le. Yin Le wanted Dong Jia Xi to come down, but Dong Jia Xi was too afraid. They started exchanging poems, understanding each other best in that moment.

Dong Jia Xi then opened the window and jokingly asked Yin Le to come up. At the same time, Dong Jia Xi ran downstairs, but Yin Le actually climbed up. Dong Jia Xi ended up downstairs, and they exchanged smiles. Dong Jia Xi went back up, and the two of them quietly enjoyed their time together. Yin Le even brought a special lamp and headphones. They danced in silence, and Dong Jia Xi finally became happy.

Wu Yun went to the mountainous area for assistance, going from house to house to deliver rice and flour to people. Wu Yun noticed that the little girl she had played with before seemed a little off. Upon asking, she discovered that the child was experiencing some stomach pain. To her surprise, the child stood up, and Wu Yun realized that the girl had started her period. Wu Yun promptly helped the child and provided her with some comfort.

Zhang Pei, in order to handle a large order, had called all the employees of the company to work at Qi Tea House. However, Qi Pu, who had been in a bad state recently, was nowhere to be found in the shop. Dong Jia Xi was confined to her home, as her mother didn't allow her to go out. Her mother arranged online classes for her and supervised her. Dong Jia Xi had no choice but to leave the online classes aside and focus on writing a script.

Surprisingly, Xie Yang brought food to support Qi Tea House. Xie Yang naturally sat next to Zhang Pei, while Xie Pu couldn't sit still and felt uncomfortable. Wu Yun's assistance in the mountain area finally came to an end, and she got on the car to return. After finishing work, Liu Feng called Zhang Pei to the rooftop, and they watched the sunset together. Liu Feng hinted to Zhang Pei not to forget their goal of returning to Beijing! After returning, Zhang Pei played with her phone, and Xie Yang accidentally sent a wrong link. Zhang Pei clicked on it and opened it, only to find out that it was about Xie Yang attending online classes. Seeing Xie Yang effortlessly introducing Chengdu, Zhang Pei couldn't help but think of Xie Yang's previous statement that he couldn't live without Chengdu!

Dong Jia Xi sent the script to Yin Le, and Yin Le expressed that he missed Dong Jia Xi. Dong Jia Xi mentioned that she had a solution.
