Episode 3 recap: Zheng Shu Yi's interview went smoothly.
Before Zheng Shu Yi arrived, Shi Yan tidied up the things on the table and adjusted his tie. He was eagerly awaiting the arrival of Zheng Shu Yi. However, to his surprise, a new journalist arrived instead. The journalist introduced themselves and explained that another reporter couldn't make it due to a last-minute issue. Shi Yan felt a bit disappointed seeing this unfamiliar face but, being professional, he focused on the interview. However, he found it difficult to tolerate the official questions from the journalist.
Just as Zheng Shu Yi was about to go over and sign autographs, she realized that her spot had been taken by Xu Yu Ling. She felt puzzled and quickly walked over to her assistant, only to find out that she had been replaced. This news left her feeling uneasy.
At that moment, a tall figure caught Zheng Shu Yi's eye, leaving her stunned. However, the man walked past her without hesitation. Witnessing this, Zheng Shu Yi called him out in front of everyone, expressing her intention to continue with the interview. Upon hearing her words, Shi Yan stood up and proceeded to ask the five questions. After listening to his questions, Zheng Shu Yi was impressed by him and immediately dismissed the other person.
After they both got into the car, there was a period of silence between them. Zheng Shu Yi was prepared to use a tactic given by her assistant to break the awkwardness. However, she realized that this man was not receptive to such tactics. He broke the silence, asked if she was cold, and opened the car window. He reminded her of the limited time and urged her to complete the interview quickly.
Before the interview began, Zheng Shu Yi mentally prepared herself to discuss topics outside of the interview, in an attempt to build a relationship between them. The man agreed without hesitation and earnestly shared his own experiences. This direct approach left Zheng Shu Yi somewhat defenseless. Later, when she saw him coldly turning away after getting off the car, she contemplated getting back into the car and returning.
While the two of them were asking questions, Mr. Guan broke the ice. Zheng Shu Yi immediately recognized him and warmly greeted him. Mr. Guan mentioned that he had read her articles before, and after a pleasant conversation, Zheng Shu Yi felt that this was a perfect opportunity to spend time with Shi Yan. She confidently proposed the idea of riding horses together with Mr. Guan and his colleagues.
While changing clothes, Zheng Shu Yi heard some noise nearby and eagerly called out to ask for assistance with her belt. However, Shi Yan didn't fall for this tactic at all. Seeing him leave, Zheng Shu Yi considered it a minor rejection and didn't let it affect her. During the horseback riding session, she was almost scared out of her wits. Shi Yan took great delight in seeing her terrified expression.
On the way back in the evening, Zheng Shu Yi felt drowsy in the car and accidentally leaned on the shoulder of the person next to her, falling into a deep sleep. When she woke up, she realized that the person was no longer there. After they parted ways, Shi Yan personally met with the people from Le'an Company to handle their crisis. On the ride home, he quickly noticed an earring that had fallen onto the seat next to him.
Upon returning to the workplace, Zheng Shu Yi took the initiative to suggest putting Shi Yan's audio on the platform to her colleague, Yijie.
