Episode 17 recap: Zhang Zeyi killed Gu Ruyue.
Ran Shu sat flipping through her notebook, muttering to herself. She sadly mentioned that this year she couldn't celebrate his birthday with Zhang Zeyi anymore, and regretfully said that she would no longer be the one by his side in the future. Ran Shu casually collected the envelopes, which were actually the letters she wrote to Zhang Zeyi. The nanny accidentally knocked them over, but Ran Shu picked them up expressionlessly, stating that they were all rubbish and not worth caring about. She heartlessly threw the envelopes into the trash can.
Zhang Zeyi organized an event that attracted many people who wanted to see the exhibition. As everyone entered the hall, they watched the works filmed by Zhang Zeyi. Both Zhang Zeyi and Gu Ruyue appeared together, and the crowd cheered, sensing that something good was about to happen. Gu Ruyue remembered that Zhang Zeyi had once told her that they would celebrate his 30th birthday together, but now he had invited so many people.

After speaking, Zhang Zeyi took a white rose from beside him and handed it to Gu Ruyue, instructing her to firmly grip the thorns on the flower. Unknown to Gu Ruyue, Zhang Zeyi had coated the thorns with poison before the event began.
Feeling uncomfortable, Gu Ruyue instantly collapsed beside Zhang Zeyi. At that moment, the curtain rose, revealing Ran Shu's presence. She exposed the truth that Zhang Zeyi was a murderer, causing everyone to scatter in an uproar.
