Episode 4 recap: Li Yi and Cui Lin worked together.

Cui Gongzi (Young Master Cui) waited for Cui Lin to return and recalled their childhood memories of growing up together. In his heart, he felt that Cui Lin was different from all the other women in the world, and he had long been infatuated with her. He hoped that Cui Lin would understand his feelings. He ordered his men to continue searching for Cui Lin the next day.

Li Yi stayed in Wangzhou, guarding against enemies ten times their own numbers. They chose to abandon the city. Cui Lin arrived alone at the gate of Bingzhou City, and the guards, seeing her attractive appearance, began to harass her. Just as Cui Lin was about to use hidden weapons, Li Yi arrived in time to help her resolve the crisis.

Cui Lin arrived at an inn and asked the innkeeper for a room upstairs. The innkeeper, seeing her shabby appearance, told Cui Lin that they didn't offer credit. He asked her to leave quickly. Cui Lin pleaded with him, but the innkeeper was about to force her to leave when Li Yi threw a large amount of money on the table.

Just as the two of them arrived in the room, Cui Lin fainted due to her wound. Li Yi quickly found a doctor who told him that he couldn't feel a pulse and suspected that the child in Cui Lin's belly might not survive. Li Yi assured the doctor that it was not a problem, leaving the doctor puzzled. Li Yi hurriedly explained that as long as the adult was fine, it would be all right.

Tao Zi made the subordinates of Huang You Yi fall ill by poisoning them. She asked them to follow her to the Cui family's army. When they heard that they were going to the Cui family's army, they no longer wanted to eat the cakes in their hands. A Shu suggested that they eat the cakes because they were delicious. He told them to finish eating the cakes, and then he would lead them to Bingzhou to find the Zhenxi Army.

As soon as they heard about the Zhenxi Army, everyone was very happy, but Tao Zi became unhappy. She kicked A Shu and accused him of snatching people in front of her. Cui Lin lay unconscious on the bed, dreaming of the scene where her mother was killed while protecting her. She cried out in pain, calling for her mother. Li Yi thought that even a cunning woman like her would only call for her mother when she was sick.

Li Yi brought medicine and fed it to Cui Lin, thinking to himself that maybe he should focus on finding food for self-sufficiency and not worry about her.

When Li Yi was about to apply medicine to Cui Lin's wound, she woke up and saw the dagger in Li Yi's hand, thinking that he intended to harm her. Cui Lin wanted to take the initiative and prepared to use hidden weapons against Li Yi.

Li Yi cleverly dodged her needles and applied the medicine to Cui Lin's wound. It was then that Cui Lin realized that Li Yi had her best interests at heart. Cui Lin apologized to Li Yi, realizing that her own cleverness had caused the death of the elderly woman, and she deeply regretted it. Li Yi mentioned hearing Cui Lin calling for her mother when she was unconscious, and Cui Lin told him about her childhood.

Her mother fought desperately to let her escape for her own survival. Li Yi knew about this and asked Cui Lin if her mother was also a member of the Women's Army. Cui Lin confirmed it, stating that they were both daughters and mothers. However, they chose to sacrifice themselves to save more people.

Cui Lin still remembers the words her mother said to her before she died. Her mother urged Cui Lin to leave quickly, emphasizing that only by staying alive could she save more people and understand why her mother had died. Cui Lin cherished the memory of her mother and felt deeply saddened. She wanted to pick up a drink, but Li Yi persuaded her not to, reminding her that she was still taking medicine.

Huang You Yi and his group have already learned about Li Yi's identity, which further strengthens their determination to join the Zhenxi Army. A Shu leads Huang You Yi and the others towards Wangzhou, and along the way, they encounter many refugees who warn them not to be mistaken for spies.

Cui Lin feels that her leg injury has almost healed and wonders if she still needs to take the medicine. Li Yi insists that she drink the medicine, in case they encounter enemies that might impede their progress. Cui Lin reluctantly complies and Li Yi brings out a bag of preserved fruits for her to eat. Just as Cui Lin finishes drinking the bitter medicine, her eyes light up as she eats the preserved fruits.

Subsequently, Cui Lin realizes that Li Yi must have a reason for doing all this. Li Yi tells her that he wants her to join him in capturing Bingzhou and establishing Zhou, and Cui Lin agrees. The two of them begin to discuss and plan their strategy.
