Episode 7 recap: Li Yi took the lead and caught Han Li with Cui Lin.
Li Yi told Cui Lin that he grew up in the capital since he was a child, and ever since he learned how to ride a horse, he would often ride alone to Leyou Yuan to play. It was the most bustling place in the entire capital. Upon hearing this, Cui Lin couldn't help but recite a poem. Li Yi thought to himself that she must like this poem.
Li Yi saw Cui Lin being fed by Young Master Cui and felt jealous. The battle in Bingzhou ended in failure, and Cui Lin asked her subordinates if they had caught Han Li. They informed her that they hadn't found him yet, so Cui Lin urged them to capture him before the Zhenxi Army found him. Li Yi's chief guard, Chang'er, came to the prison and rescued him. The first thing he asked was if Chang'er had found Han Li.
He knew that he had made a promise to Cui Lin, so he had to do his utmost to find Han Li. Gu Wan Niang's maid, Qiu Cui, looked worriedly out the window. Gu Wan Niang reassured her that there was no need to worry as their servants were guarding the entrance. Qiu Cui felt that if it weren't for their Third Miss causing discord between her young miss and master, they wouldn't have come to this Bingzhou City or suffered from the chaos of war.
Gu Wan Niang told her not to speak recklessly, acknowledging that she had never been clever since childhood. She felt fortunate to be able to come to Bingzhou and pay respects to her ancestors on behalf of her father. Qiu Cui was deeply concerned about the state of her young miss. She felt that her young miss was being bullied even by the servants in the mansion. Han Li suddenly barged into Gu Wan Niang's room and asked if he could hide there.

Young Master Cui instructed his older brother, Cui Li, to station troops outside the city, so they could collaborate inside and out in case of turmoil. Although Cui Li was extremely unwilling, he complied with the order. Young Master Cui told Cui Lin that he knew she didn't like Cui Li, so he sent him away from the city.
Cui Lin only just realized that she hadn't seen Ashu early on, it turned out that Young Master Cui had sent him outside the city early on.
Young Master Cui smiled at Cui Lin, feeling that she was the only one who understood him. Young Master Cui couldn't hold back and found Li Yi, telling him that he and Cui Lin had grown up together since childhood and had a deep bond.
He learned about the incident a few days ago when Li Yi and Cui Lin were trapped in Han Li's residence, and he thanked Li Yi for taking care of Cui Lin. Li Yi felt that it was nothing, and Young Master Cui, in order to show that his relationship with Cui Lin was different, thanked Li Yi on Cui Lin's behalf.
Gu Wan Niang came to find Li Yi and introduced her background to him. Li Yi learned that she was the daughter of Gu Daren, who had been confined at home by Sun Jing. Gu Wan Niang was afraid that it would be dangerous for her and Qiu Cui to return to the capital alone. She wanted to return to the capital with the Zhenxi Army. Li Yi felt that it was inconvenient.
He wanted to send another team to escort Gu Wan Niang, but she insisted on dressing as a man and going with them. Li Yi had no choice but to agree to her request. Consort Xiao told the Grand Commander about the conflict she had just had with Wei Shi, deliberately causing trouble for her. She asked the Grand Commander to build a Taoist temple for her outside, as she didn't want to be gossiped about in the palace and didn't want to interact with Wei Shi anymore.
The Grand Commander asked if she really wanted to become a nun, and Consort Xiao told him that she didn't want to stay in the palace and that Wei Shi was not a broad-minded person. The Grand Commander told Consort Xiao to forget about becoming a nun and suggested that her maid, Shen Niang, become a nun in her place.
Consort Xiao realized that the Grand Commander was allowing Shen Niang to become a nun for the sake of Wei Shi's face, and she disagreed unless the Grand Commander treated Wei Shi's maid the same way. Tao Zi invited Cui Lin to go and see the Qixi Lantern Festival together tomorrow night, but Cui Lin refused, saying she had something to do in the evening.
She told Tao Zi to take care of Chang'er, the Zhenxi Army's chief guard, and that she and Li Yi would go to the lantern festival together.
