Episode 10 recap: Muran Hanbing agreed to help Meikai Shao save someone.
Meikai Shao blamed Muran Hanbing for being too cold-hearted and not trusting anyone. Muran Hanbing explained that he wasn't always like this, but it had become difficult for him to trust others now. When he was young, he excelled in martial arts and academics, and was loved by everyone. However, someone poisoned him multiple times, which made him lose trust in people.
The first time Muran Hanbing met Meikai Shao was when he was being pursued by someone who had poisoned him. Meikai Shao hoped that Muran Hanbing would trust her and promised not to disappoint him. Muran Hanbing vowed that he would save them if Yanru was innocent. Subsequently, Muran Hanbing took Meikai Shao to the prison cell where Yanru and the divine doctor were held captive. Meikai Shao forgot to take her medication recently, otherwise, she would have been affected. She had been taking the medication and believed that the divine doctor wouldn't harm her.
The divine doctor examined Meikai Shao and confirmed that her health had improved, which made Muran Hanbing very happy. After asking Yanru some questions, Muran Hanbing went to find Cuiguanshi, the person in charge of the supplies, but found the door tightly shut. Meikai Shao decided to break open the door instead of knocking. Muran Hanbing was surprised by her actions. He entered the room first, and as soon as Meikai Shao entered, Muran Hanbing covered her eyes.
