Episode 3 recap: Shan Yu was diagnosed with brain cancer.
On that day, because Shan Yu handled the issue of his mother's argument properly, his mother was in a good mood. Shan Yu was able to go smoothly with Min Ying to the concert. After the concert, Min Ying intended to confess her feelings to Shan Yu, but Shan Yu preempted her and confessed first, hoping to be with Min Ying. Min Ying happily nodded, and the two shared their first kiss.
Ten years later, Shan Yu looked at the diary in his hand, and the words on it were changing. The originally disappointing date of Shan Yu's broken promise turned into a sweet anniversary of their date, which reassured Shan Yu that he had finally changed his destiny. Just then, Shan Yu received a call from Yin Xun. Their friends were gathering tomorrow because Min Ying had returned from abroad. Shan Yu was extremely excited.
He thought that this time they could be together. Zhu Xiao'en, Min Ying, Shan Yu, and Yin Xun's last gathering was ten years ago during a camping trip. Before Shan Yu and Min Ying could speak, Zheng Zhe arrived with flowers and a ring in his hand, taking the lead. Zheng Zhe solemnly proposed to Min Ying, and surprisingly, Min Ying accepted. When Shan Yu woke up, he found himself in the hospital. Zhu Xiao'en, who had become a doctor, told Shan Yu that he had a malignant tumor in his brain and had less than two months to live. Shan Yu wasn't worried about himself but advised Zhu Xiao'en not to tell Yin Xun.
Min Ying visited her grandmother, who had dementia, and informed her about her intention to get married. However, her grandmother no longer recognized Min Ying and believed that the person in front of her wasn't Min Ying. Her grandmother remembered that Min Ying had always wanted to become a neuroscientist, and Min Ying felt disappointed in herself, overwhelmed with mixed emotions. The next day, when Shan Yu went to work, a new colleague appeared, and that person was Zheng Zhe.
