Episode 3 recap: Yu Yuan saves Wang Pingguo but is misunderstood.
While Wang Pingguo was talking on the phone with Chen Chao, an unscrupulous person broke into her house, intending to assault her. This frightened Wang Pingguo. Chen Chao ignored Wang Pingguo's call because he was having an affair with Wang Meimei at that moment. He didn't want to deal with the housewife Wang Pingguo or go back home. Wang Pingguo was scared and started crying. Fortunately, at that moment, Yu Yuan rushed in to save Wang Pingguo and also called the police for her.
When Wang Pingguo returned from the police station, Chen Chao and Wang Meimei were waiting for her downstairs. As soon as they saw each other, they criticized her for not locking the door, completely disregarding the shaken Wang Pingguo's emotions. When Chen Chao returned home after drinking, he saw a pair of men's shoes at the door and took them inside to question Wang Pingguo if she was cheating on him.
Wang Pingguo kindly asked Wang Meimei to go and pick up Chen Chao. However, when Chen Chao returned, he only scolded her and didn't listen to any of her explanations. Wang Pingguo blamed Chen Chao for always blaming her for everything and never listening to her explanations. But Chen Chao blamed her for not being able to conceive and still cheating on him. Wang Pingguo became furious upon hearing Chen Chao's words. She spoke out about Chen Chao's incompetence and revealed that she had always been defending him, while he kept accusing her.
When Wang Meimei tried to defend Chen Chao during Wang Pingguo's outburst, she ended up being scolded by Wang Pingguo. Chen Chao then scolded Wang Pingguo again for this. He drove Wang Pingguo away and tried to console Wang Meimei, while Wang Meimei couldn't bear this treatment and started plotting how to retaliate against Wang Pingguo.
