Episode 7 recap: Wang Meimei tricked Wang Pingguo into going out for a drink.
Wang Meimei pretended to be kind-hearted and went to the hospital to visit Yin Binghua. However, Yin Binghua saw through her deceit and privately warned Wang Pingguo to be careful of Wang Meimei. Wang Pingguo didn't believe that Wang Meimei would harm her and had no guard against her. She even mentioned the matter of Wang Meimei needing to find a job to cover her medical expenses. Upon hearing that Wang Pingguo wanted to find a job, Wang Meimei immediately persuaded her to work at a bar and coaxed her into going there.
Desperate to earn money and having faced constant rejections in her job search, Wang Pingguo reluctantly believed Wang Meimei's words and decided to give the bar a try. Wang Meimei approached the bar manager, Mr. Luo, to ask for a job. However, Mr. Luo didn't want Wang Pingguo to stay and work as she was older. Sensing that Wang Meimei had ulterior motives, Mr. Luo requested Wang Pingguo to stay and drink, so he could assess her alcohol tolerance before deciding whether to let her work the next day.
Wang Pingguo, eager to secure the job, drank heavily and ended up getting drunk. It was only then that Mr. Luo inquired about Wang Meimei's intentions. Once Wang Pingguo was intoxicated, Wang Meimei helped her back home. However, in her drunken state, Wang Pingguo couldn't recognize the way back home and ended up dropping her keys on the grass downstairs.
Wang Meimei directly took Wang Pingguo to You Yuan's house, claiming that she forgot to bring the keys. She asked You Yuan to take care of Wang Pingguo for a while. When You Yuan turned around to fetch a glass of water for Wang Pingguo, he became suspicious of the situation. After leaving Wang Pingguo, Wang Meimei immediately returned home and informed Chen Chao that Wang Pingguo was currently at You Yuan's house.
