Episode 13 recap: Gu Lin Xing was asked to break up with Chen Mo Si Nan.
When Xi Ci came out of the hospital room, Gu Lin Xing asked him what he was doing there. Xi Ci explained that he came to visit his uncle who was sick and mentioned that there was an insurmountable gap between him and Chen Si Nan. He believed that one day she would abandon him. Gu Lin Xing asked Xi Ci not to interfere in Chen Si Nan's affairs in the future, otherwise he would take back everything the Gu family had given him.
Gu Lin Xing found Chen Si Nan and expressed his dissatisfaction, saying that he didn't expect to be in such a state after not seeing her for a few days. Chen Si Nan asked about his father and told him that Aunt Ruan was now with his father, so he should learn to respect that. Gu Lin Xing acknowledged her words. Gu Lin Xing's older brother, Gu Fu, listened helplessly and Gu Lin Xing expressed his frustration that they knew their father was pretending to be sick in the hospital room, but Gu Fu wasn't angry and just asked them to leave and said he had something to talk to Gu Lin Xing.
Gu Fu expressed that he was well aware of the suffering Gu Lin Xing had endured all this time, but Xi Ci was still his cousin and he hoped Gu Lin Xing could forgive him. When asked about his relationship with Chen Si Nan, Gu Lin Xing explained that she used to be Xi Ci's girlfriend, and if they were together, it would surely cause a lot of criticism. Furthermore, she is much older than him. He wished for them to break up soon, as someone with his qualities could find any girl he wanted. However, Gu Lin Xing refused to comply with his request.
