Episode 16 recap: Chen Sinan's family approves of Gu Lin Xing.
Gu Lin Xing asks if Chen Sinan has made up her mind. Chen Sinan replies that since it is her responsibility, she shouldn't give up. She then starts clarifying things on the school's broadcasting station, stating that honesty is essential in a relationship, and she has already entered a new phase of emotions. Gu Lin Xing admits that he feels a bit uncomfortable hearing such an open praise, but he wants to emphasize that he has always been sincere in his confession and has never missed a chance.
Xuan Xuan hears Gu Lin Xing's words and comments that he is truly a person who dares to love and hate, worthy of being her idol. Chen Sinan suggests going on a date if that's the case, and Gu Lin Xing readily agrees. They start taking various photos and having fun. Suddenly, Gu Lin Xing takes out a ring, saying that it might be rushed, but he hopes she can keep it for him. Chen Sinan responds that once she keeps it, she won't return it.
When Gu Lin Xing returns to his room, he starts playing a movie for Chen Sinan. Unexpectedly, her mother comes in, and Chen Sinan can only hide him in the closet. Chen Xuan remarks that since she hasn't opened the door for so long, she thought Chen Sinan was hiding someone. Chen's mother advises her to find someone else quickly since her relationship with Xici is in the past. At that moment, a noise comes from the closet where Gu Lin Xing is hiding. Chen Sinan explains it as an unstable wardrobe. Just when she thinks her mother and sister are leaving, Chen Xuan rushes in and gets excited upon seeing the coat in the closet. Before leaving, her mother urges Chen Sinan to let Chao Chao come out; he must be suffocating in there.
When Gu Lin Xing comes out, he feels disappointed to see all the food on the table has been eaten. Chen Sinan assures him that she will make something for him, and Gu Lin Xing becomes happy again.
