Episode 20 recap: Gu's father approached Chen Sinan for a conversation.
Chen Sinan, who had been dismissed by the school and couldn't find a job, returned home feeling disappointed. It was then that he noticed Gu Lin Xing was injured. He immediately asked what had happened, and Gu Lin Xing explained that he had been punched by the bar owner. Miss Ruan found Gu Xici and told him that they had agreed to get rid of Gu Lin Xing, but now he had left and become the general manager. She mentioned that she hadn't gained anything from the situation and when she mentioned needing thirty million, Gu Xici said he could still come up with the money and asked her to give him some time.
Gu's father found Chen Sinan and expressed his hope that she could take the money and leave Chaochao. Chen Sinan responded that his actions not only undermined his own self-worth but also belittled Chaochao. Gu's father mentioned that he had sent Jiao Jiao to support her in the past, but he never introduced him because he was stubborn and didn't listen. Chen Sinan explained that he did all this just to earn his respect and that he still cared about him deeply. When she showed him a video she had taken, Gu's father acknowledged that the young man indeed had great talent.
Chen Sinan was still worried about Gu Lin Xing when she saw Gu's father. She believed that they should have a sincere conversation and that she would convey her love to him when she went back. She suggested recording a video message as well.
