Episode 10 recap: The Mole Advisor harbored suspicions about the Linglong Tower.
The Mole Advisor was knowledgeable and talented. In the past, he had participated in the imperial examination in Chang'an, but he was exposed by the Demon-revealing Mirror and was expelled from the examination hall. Later, he ran out of money and became destitute, wandering to the Huanbozi Mountain. He was taken in by the Great King Fenfeng, so he felt grateful to him. Although he didn't believe that the Linglong Tower could be a traitor, he decided to test him again just in case.
Although the Linglong Tower pretended to stumble and evaded the Mole Advisor's test, he knew that he was already suspected by Yan Shi. Therefore, he informed Fantian Yin that he wanted to leave Huanbozi Mountain. However, Fantian Yin ordered him to obtain the military deployment map of Huanbozi Mountain as soon as possible. The Linglong Tower was surprised to hear that Fantian Yin was giving him orders and couldn't help but remind her to be mindful of their respective roles since she was just a small liaison officer.
However, Fantian Yin produced an appointment letter, revealing that she had been appointed as the liaison officer by Shangfeng, making her the Linglong Tower's direct superior. The Linglong Tower didn't expect that all the work he had done would result in Fantian Yin's promotion. He became so frustrated that he was about to quit. Seeing this, Fantian Yin first comforted the Linglong Tower and then promised him that stealing the military deployment map from Huanbozi Mountain would be his final task. Once he completed this task, he could leave Huanbozi Mountain.
While the Linglong Tower was contemplating how to steal the military deployment map, the Mole Advisor suddenly gathered everyone together and happily informed them that he had made meticulous arrangements on Huanbozi Mountain to ensure that everyone could successfully feast on Tang Seng's meat. He had already prepared the military deployment map, which would be made public before the operation began.
After listening to the Mole Advisor's words, everyone was filled with joy and excitement. To liven up the atmosphere, the Mole Advisor called the Linglong Tower to the front and organized a prize-catching activity. He divided every part of Tang Seng's body into small sections, wrote them on slips of paper, and crumpled the paper into balls. Da Ji was the first to catch a prize. Although he caught Tang Seng's toe, he was still excited and ran a few laps around the venue.
Similar to Da Ji, some little demons caught Tang Seng's ribs, some caught his scorpion bones, and others caught his ears. After catching these prizes, the demons were ecstatic as if they had actually tasted Tang Seng's meat.
After the prize-catching segment ended, the Mole Advisor hosted a banquet for the demons. During the banquet, demons of all sizes came to toast the Linglong Tower. In their eyes, the current prosperity of Huanbozi Mountain was largely due to the new Great King. After the banquet, as a gesture of gratitude to the Linglong Tower, the demons even sang a song together called "Great King, Don't Panic." Seeing how well the demons treated him, the Linglong Tower made a wish for Tang Seng to slow down. Suddenly, the Mole Advisor approached him.
The Mole Advisor concluded that the traitor would come tonight to steal the military deployment map. He bluntly told the Linglong Tower that if no one attempted to steal it tonight, then either the Linglong Tower or the Mole Advisor himself would be the traitor.
