Episode 3 recap: The three brothers resolved the matter properly.
Xiao Li Ming and the others arrived at the house of the old lady who attempted suicide by jumping into the river. The eldest son of the family believed that the old lady died because of Hongxiang Group's affairs, and Hongxiang Group had to give them an explanation. Xiao Li Ming stated that the old lady committed suicide, and legally speaking, Hongxiang Group is not responsible for these matters.
The eldest son and daughter-in-law were unhappy upon hearing this and insisted that Hongxiang Group must take responsibility for the incident. Xiao Li Ming advised them to be careful because it could turn into extortion and blackmail. The daughter-in-law was displeased and claimed that Xiao Li Ming was not there to solve their problems but to intimidate them.
Ma Le quickly pulled Xiao Li Ming aside, asking him to keep quiet. However, Xiao Li Ming believed that he needed to explain the situation to them fully. Chief Yang went to find his former colleague and discovered the old lady's backpack that had drifted downstream. Inside, there was a letter from the old lady.
