Episode 2 recap: Bai Shizhou takes on the mission in a critical situation.

When Bai Shizhou arrives for the assignment, Liu Ying expresses that this place is actually more suitable for him to stay, and a small rural hospital is not conducive to his development. Upon meeting the hospital director, Bai Shizhou is greeted warmly. Two women argue over the low price of tea leaves, and a man intervenes to take his wife away to avoid further conflict. The hospital director mentions that the medical equipment in this place is adequate but lacks highly skilled professionals. He then instructs someone to make coffee for Dr. Bai, emphasizing that the coffee machine is prepared exclusively for him and urges him to promptly communicate any needs so they can be accommodated.

Ma Chong Feng notices the tea-selling couple and immediately inquires about the situation, wondering why they look upset. Ma Chong Feng suggests that they must have been mistreated by Li San, and upon hearing that Li San is his relative, the woman implores him to intervene and not let Li San bully them in the market. Ma Chong Feng, seeing the situation, requests two pounds of tea leaves. The man initially intends to give them directly to him, but the woman emphasizes that Ma Chong Feng has never taken anything for granted.

When Ma Chong Feng arrives at the hospital, Liu Ying asks him what he is here for, and Ma Chong Feng can only respond with a smile. Holding the tea leaves, Ma Chong Feng thanks Director Sun for assigning such an excellent person to him. Director Sun explains that it's not that he doesn't want to assign others but that even if he does, they won't stay.

Director Sun says that as long as Ma Chong Feng can make Li Chang Sheng retire, he can give him the new doctor position. During a meeting, Wen Zhenzhen sees Ma Chong Feng's call and hangs up, later explaining that she came to pick him up after work. Wen Zhenzhen suggests that he should reflect on his actions since he took someone away without even saying hello. She mentions that she does have a way to help, but she hopes he can assist in investigating whether there is domestic violence in Xiancao Village. She also mentions that her brother-in-law treats her sister-in-law with indifference every day, which is quite inappropriate. Ma Chong Feng immediately expresses his full support for her work.

In the hospital, Xiao Fan educates patients about anemia, and Li Chang Sheng overhears a woman's cries and suggests that he has high blood pressure and should take antihypertensive medication. However, it turns out his condition is not serious at all, and the dizziness is simply a matter of being overworked.

A child suffered from food poisoning, and Dr. Xing hesitated to perform gastric lavage without certainty. Director Sun suggested going to find Dr. Bai. Dr. Xing was surprised when he heard Dr. Bai's treatment plan because such a procedure couldn't be done without expertise. Meanwhile, an elderly person in Xiancao Village fell ill, and Li Chang Sheng rushed over. He expressed the need to have a private conversation with the old man. Bai Shizhou calmly executed his plan, recalling the knowledge he acquired at the hospital.

Li Chang Sheng realized that the old man didn't actually have any health issues. The old man blamed himself for burdening his children and causing them trouble. In the past, he had sacrificed everything to save his wife Xue Mei, resulting in the loss of their only child and an accident. However, he didn't hold any resentment towards himself. The two men went to find Xiaotang to ask if the grandfather's subsidy had been issued. When the man heard commotion outside, he threatened to take action if they continued causing trouble.

Initially, they were going to use the consultation fee to pay Li Chang Sheng, but his brothers snatched it away. Dr. Xing believed that going to Xiancao Village was an unwise decision because it was difficult to deal with Dr. Li Zhong. As long as he was there, no one could stay. Ma Chong Feng visited the tea-selling couple, and she informed him that she had resolved the issue with Dr. Li. She reminded him not to forget about the tea business. Ma Chong Feng praised the couple for their good work and explained that his actions were aimed at improving the medical conditions in Xiancao Village. He hoped they would continue their efforts, even if they hadn't attended the classes. The man nodded in agreement but couldn't help feeling sorry for Dr. Li, an elderly person who had brought him all the way from a distant place.
