Episode 22 recap: Jiang Jiu Ping is preparing a bomb.
Earlier, when Jiang Jiu Ping was donating items here, he was intercepted by someone who gave him Lin Ke's information and asked him to investigate the person through other channels. After Jiang Jiu Ping conducted the investigation, he presented the results, confirming that the person indeed conducts cultural relic business in Southeast Asia. Although the person claimed to have left the organization, he still needed to know what actions were prohibited. Jiang Jiu Ping didn't listen to him much and simply shot him. Sha Xiao Fei arrived at the scene, and Pei Laosi wanted to discuss the matter of the Desert Tiger's inheritance with him. Jiang Jiu Ping intervened, stating that there was nothing to discuss about these matters.
Jiang Jiu Ping showed a video to Sha Xiao Fei, which depicted the guns stored in the warehouse. Jiang Jiu Ping explained that Lao Qiang had accumulated over 400 crates of high-quality guns over the years. The information was conveyed to Jiang Jiu Ping by Bai Yifang, who informed him about it. Jiang Jiu Ping had kept some for himself, around 50 crates, which were used to cast the Buddha statue. The remaining 300-plus crates were still in the warehouse.
Jiang Jiu Ping produced a key and said that if Sha Xiao Fei could ensure the safety of his daughter's return, he would give him the item. Sha Xiao Fei expressed uncertainty about the authenticity of the item. Jiang Jiu Ping suggested that Sha Xiao Fei could visit the location himself and inspect it. As long as Jiang Jiu Ping could guarantee the safety of his daughter, he would hand over the item to Sha Xiao Fei.
Sha Xiao Fei considered leaving, but Pei Laosi advised him to think it through. If he left, he would miss out on the inheritance of the Desert Tiger. However, if he stayed, it was uncertain whether he would obtain the guns. Sha Xiao Fei made his decision and left, arriving at the place where Gu Lin Na, his sister, was being held captive. He called Jiang Jiu Ping.
Jiang Jiu Ping assured him that he would immediately send someone to have Gu Lin Na released and sent back. However, he mistakenly had his subordinate send Sha Xiao Fei's phone number to Cheng Fan and his group. Jiang Jiu Ping mentioned that there was a place two kilometers away where Gu Lin Na could be picked up, and he wanted Gu Lin Na to go with them.
Gu Lin Na disagreed, stating that Jiang Jiu Ping was still present, so she couldn't leave.
Pei Laosi stated that Gu Lin Na couldn't leave. Unexpectedly, Jiang Jiu Ping produced a remote control and revealed that he had known someone would return there. He had prepared a bomb in advance, and once he pressed the button, they would all die.
Jiang Jiu Ping pressed a button, and indeed, an explosion occurred. Gu Lin Na snatched the remote control, feeling tired of being alive and deceived by everyone. Gu Lin Na confessed her feelings for Chu Yi Han and asked if Chu Yi Han felt the same way. Chu Yi Han admitted it, but Gu Lin Na insisted that it wouldn't work because he was a police officer.
Jiang Jiu Ping blamed Gu Lin Na's father for causing all this. He explained that Gu Lin Na's father was originally a child from an ordinary family at the foot of Kunlun Mountain. From a young age, he loved listening to storytelling and admired Song Jiang. He believed he could achieve something great himself. Later, he was lured into becoming a strategist and gradually became associated with Lao Qiang and his group.
When Gu Mu Lan went to make a deal with someone, his first wife was shot six times and died on the spot. The following year, he married Gu Lin Na's mother. However, in 2006, during the siege, Gu Lin Na's mother passed away, and Gu Lin Na was also injured.
Jiang Jiu Ping believed that this was unacceptable, which is why he reported to the police five years ago. Chu Yi Han knocked out Gu Lin Na and had Jiang Jiu Ping's men take her away. Da Tang chased after Sha Xiao Fei in a car and caused his vehicle to overturn, capturing Sha Xiao Fei.
Jiang Jiu Ping and his group caught up with them. Jiang Jiu Ping dropped his weapons and declared himself a hostage of Da Tang. Da Tang took Jiang Jiu Ping away.
