Episode 5 recap: Qin Zhao impersonated Qin Zhixing and arranged a fake blind date.
When Qin's mother was young, she couldn't compare to Lanxi's mother and almost didn't marry Qin's father. She deeply resented this and, looking at Lanxi's face, which resembled her mother's, she had no intention of letting Lanxi marry into the Qin family. Qin Zhixing's younger brother, Qin Zhao, knew about their mother's distress and decided to help her. Taking advantage of the time when Qin Zhixing was taking a shower, he deciphered his phone and changed the scheduled meeting time from three o'clock to two o'clock.
Lanxi arrived at the blind date location precisely at two o'clock. As she looked out the window, she saw Qin Zhixing walking towards her. She couldn't help but fantasize that Qin Zhixing was her blind date and would confess his deep affection for her. However, when Qin Zhixing arrived, he completely changed his demeanor. He slouched on the sofa, indicating his lack of interest in Lanxi. He revealed that he only went on this blind date to please his parents. Lanxi felt that Qin Zhixing's behavior was disrespectful towards her and angrily walked away. She even blocked Qin Zhixing without knowing that the person she met earlier was an imposter.
Qin Zhixing had dressed up specifically for this blind date. He felt slightly nervous amidst the driver's compliments. By the time he arrived at the café, Lanxi had already left. In order to make Qin Zhixing give up, Qin Zhao instructed the waiter to inform Qin Zhixing that not only had Lanxi been there, but she also left a message saying that she had no interest in Qin Zhixing and hoped he would stop bothering her.
Upon hearing this, Qin Zhixing felt as if he had fallen into an ice-cold abyss. He never expected that the long-awaited meeting would end in such a way.
