Episode 11 recap: He Er Qing killed Lord Lu San.
He Er Qing got involved with his former lover, but that didn't stop his ambition. For safety reasons, he sent the woman and child to the northeast. Before boarding the train, the woman asked the girl to call He Er Qing "Daddy," but the girl couldn't say it. So, He Er Qing asked his daughter to call him "Uncle" instead. As he watched the woman and child approach the train, the tough man He Er Qing shed tears. To avoid attachment, he quickly disappeared into the crowd, and the woman didn't see him when she turned back.
First, He Er Qing went to find his old brother Da Jin. He saw that Da Jin had changed his ways and become a merchant. In the past, no one would have believed this. He Er Qing paid a large sum of money to bribe Da Jin and asked him to accompany him. The two of them kidnapped Zhang Xiu Ji's wife and child, threatening Zhang Xiu Ji to help them with a favor before releasing them.
Zhang Xiu Ji was dissatisfied with Lord Lu San's favoritism and felt resentful that, despite serving Lord Lu San for many years, he couldn't compare to a few younger individuals. Filled with anger, he agreed to He Er Qing's conditions. On the day of Zhong Er's funeral, Zhang Xiu Ji intentionally lured Lord Lu San into the car driven by Da Jin.
When the car suddenly ran a red light and left the pursuing vehicles behind, Lord Lu San already suspected that something was wrong with Zhang Xiu Ji. He cast a deep glance at Zhang Xiu Ji, who quickly tried to smile and mentioned an old friend who wanted to see Lord Lu San. When He Er Qing appeared before Lord Lu San, the latter was genuinely surprised. Da Jin promptly tied up Lord Lu San and continued driving.
While praising Zhong Er's choice of the funeral day, He Er Qing handed a axe to Zhang Xiu Ji and told him to kill Lord Lu San. Upon hearing this, Lord Lu San knew that his life was in grave danger and couldn't help but break into a cold sweat. Zhang Xiu Ji reminded He Er Qing that it wasn't what he had agreed to earlier, but He Er Qing was not a reasonable person and directly slapped Zhang Xiu Ji, warning him that only one of them would survive today and letting him make the choice.
Unexpectedly, while the car was moving at a slow speed, Zhang Xiu Ji chose to jump out of the car and quickly fled. He Er Qing immediately instructed Da Jin to stop the car. He fired a shot at Zhang Xiu Ji, but missed. Seeing Zhang Xiu Ji desperately running, he chased after him. The forest was dense with trees, and Zhang Xiu Ji spotted a small slope with a pit behind it. He immediately laid down, tightly covering his mouth and nose to avoid making any sound.
When Lord Lu San saw that everyone had left, he used his mouth to untie the restraints and escaped on the spot. He Er Qing noticed Lord Lu San's escape and chased after him in the car, ultimately hitting and killing Lord Lu San.
Da Jin couldn't find Zhang Xiu Ji, so He Er Qing stopped worrying and allowed Zhang Xiu Ji to live for two more days.
At Zhong Er's funeral, when Xu Wei Biao saw that Lord Lu San and Zhang Xiu Ji hadn't shown up, he thought they were seeking death and never expected that Lord Lu San had actually died. Sun Hai Jie's men had already found Jie Zi, and among the materials they submitted was a photo taken years ago with He Er Qing, Da Jin, and Jie Zi together. In the photo, He Er Qing was wearing the finger ring found at the scene of the fire. This clue immediately gave the police a direction to investigate.
Lin Zhi Hua's mouth was sealed by Da Jin, and he was put into a sack and taken to an abandoned warehouse. While eating, He Er Qing sighed about their youth and how they used to roam around, thinking that the rivers and lakes were about righteousness. But Jie Zi, who was willing to live and die together, betrayed him, making him feel that the rivers and lakes were just stinking sewage left overnight. Now, because of his words, Da Jin followed him without hesitation, making him feel that Da Jin still had righteousness. Although He Er Qing still believed that the rivers and lakes were bullshit in the end, he had to let out some anger. That's why he tied up Lin Zhi Hua to force Xu Wei Biao's group to appear.
When Wang Lei saw the note that He Er Qing had someone stab into the table with a knife, indicating that Lin Zhi Hua had been captured, he and his brothers immediately went to rescue him in the rain. Just as Xu Wei Biao and the others rushed in, Lin Zhi Hua desperately signaled them not to take risks. At that moment, He Er Qing, hidden at the staircase, used a gun to strike the iron stairs, making a piercing sound, and asked Zhong Yu Nan if he recognized the gun.
He Er Qing lost one hand, and he demanded that everyone compensate him by cutting off a finger and giving it to him. Then, he released Lin Zhi Hua. Xu Wei Biao, in anger, stepped forward and offered to cut off one of his own hands as compensation, asking He Er Qing to spare the others. Just as Xu Wei Biao raised the knife, Wang Lei made a move. He Er Qing was caught off guard and brought down to the ground. The two groups quickly engaged in a fierce fight.
Da Jin joined the fight with a big stick, and after a brutal struggle, Wang Lei was pushed out of the window and fell to the first floor by Da Jin. Zhong Yu Nan was killed by Da Jin, and He Er Qing was shot and died. Xu Wei Biao and Zhang Peng luckily escaped with their lives.
