Episode 15 recap: Zhang Peng escaped back to Yanyang because he was being chased by someone.

Lin Zhi Hua is now a police officer. One day, he was chasing thieves on the street. The two thieves, familiar with the terrain, ran desperately with stolen cables on their backs. Lin Zhi Hua noticed a nearby alley and quietly took a shortcut. He successfully blocked the two individuals. Knowing that Lin Zhi Hua wouldn't let them go, they fought back. They viciously smashed a beer bottle towards Lin Zhi Hua's head, but he quickly dodged the attack. However, with two attackers and one of them wielding a knife, Lin Zhi Hua had to temporarily avoid direct confrontation. As a result, one of the thieves took the opportunity to escape. Since Lin Zhi Hua couldn't handle both of them, he focused on the remaining thief and urged him to drop the knife. Lin Zhi Hua warned that if he didn't comply, it would be considered assaulting a police officer.

The thief didn't want to be involved in such activities, but he had no choice because his wife and children were relying on the money. Feeling trapped, he resorted to stealing cables. To save face for the thief, Lin Zhi Hua covered the handcuffs with a piece of clothing after the thief agreed to cooperate and then took him to the police station. Xu Wei Biao, who had been released from prison a year ago and was about to marry Lin Hong Mei, was aware of Xu Wei Biao's criminal past. Xu Wei Biao felt scared that Lin Zhi Hua, as a police officer, would attend the wedding.

Lin Zhi Hua didn't appreciate his colleagues' remarks and stated that Xu Wei Biao had already turned over a new leaf. Lin Zhi Hua learned that Sun Hai Jie was going to retire on the same day as Xu Wei Biao's wedding and felt concerned. Xu Wei Biao was doing well now. Huang Si Er and Chu Liu Ge were his subordinates, and they were all living a lavish lifestyle, dressed in the latest fashionable suits and exuding confidence.

The train had arrived, but Zhang Peng, who was supposed to appear, was nowhere to be seen. Xu Wei Biao suspected that Zhang Peng was not punctual. At that moment, an argument broke out on the train. Xu Wei Biao went up to investigate and discovered that Zhang Peng had been detained by the train staff for not paying for his meal.

Huang Si Er was perceptive and decided to handle the situation, allowing Xu Wei Biao to take Zhang Peng away first. Zhang Peng sat in Xu Wei Biao's car and boasted about his success in Guangdong. Huang Si Er and Chu Liu Ge couldn't help but mock Zhang Peng's bragging, but Xu Wei Biao immediately scolded them and made them address Zhang Peng respectfully as "Brother Peng."

When Zhang Peng returned home, he enjoyed the hot dumplings made by his mother. He was deeply moved to learn that Lin Zhi Hua visited his family every year. Just then, his pager beeped. After reading the message, Zhang Peng immediately gave his mother some money and told his younger brother to take good care of her. He then left home and checked into a hotel, claiming that he had business matters to attend to.

It turned out that Zhang Peng had returned to Yanyang because he had gotten into trouble in Guangzhou. However, the people looking for him wouldn't let him off just because he left, which greatly troubled Zhang Peng.

Xu Wei Biao's mother insisted that Xu Wei Biao give his younger brother, Xu Wei Dong, a job at his company. Xu Wei Biao didn't want to, but he couldn't resist his mother's demands. He regretted his own big mouth for complaining about Xu Wei Dong's idleness at home, which led his mother to latch onto the idea.

Just then, Xu Wei Biao's pager beeped. It turned out that there was trouble at his establishment, so Xu Wei Biao hurriedly went to handle the situation. When he arrived, he discovered that a recently released prisoner had consumed alcohol but couldn't pay the bill. Xu Wei Biao immediately took out money from his drawer and paid on behalf of the person. However, the bar manager persisted, claiming that the cost price of the imported liquor was over 5,000. Xu Wei Biao dismissed the manager as he considered the issue settled.

Seeing the manager's stubbornness, Xu Wei Biao revealed that he had switched the genuine alcohol with counterfeit, which prompted Wan Ye, the manager, to angrily slap the manager and promise Xu Wei Biao that the matter would end there. Xu Wei Biao learned that the wife of the recently released prisoner had already left with the children, and he only wanted to get into trouble again to go back to prison. Xu Wei Biao arranged for him to work at the company first and assured him that he could repay the money later. He also mentioned that everyone in the company had served time, so the person could feel at ease working there.

Zhang Peng visited Xu Wei Biao's house and specifically brought bird's nest as a gift for Lin Hong Mei. He also gave a seahorse to Xu Wei Biao, exchanging a knowing look that men understood. They reminisced about the days when they supported each other as brothers. Both Zhang Peng and Xu Wei Biao got drunk, and the two grown men hugged each other, grieving uncontrollably for the deceased Zhong Yu Nan and Wang Lei.

Seeing Xu Wei Biao so heartbroken, Lin Hong Mei tightly held his restless hand, providing him with a bit of comfort. In Yunjiang City, Qian Zong was notorious for lending money at high interest rates. Currently, three individuals who borrowed from him couldn't repay the money and trembled on their knees before him. As they watched him prepare pig intestines, he warned them that if they didn't repay the money, they would end up like pigs.

The three individuals were terrified but couldn't come up with the money. They were told by Qian Zong to go to Yanyang and bring back Zhang Peng. They immediately agreed in a panic.
