Episode 23 recap: Huang Si Er took on the major crime of smuggling.

When Wang Lei returned to his residence, An Fei Ya had already pushed two beds together and was lying in the middle, trying to force Wang Lei to sleep with her. However, Wang Lei would rather spend the night sitting on the broken sofa than get into bed with her. The next day, when Wang Lei woke up, An Fei Ya was already gone. She had covered the pillow with a blanket to make it look like she was still in bed. Wang Lei only realized this when he saw that An Fei Ya had been ignoring him. He cleaned up the room and found cigarette butts. After searching, he found the pack of cigarettes in the toilet tank.

An Fei Ya's friend developed an interest in Wang Lei and asked An Fei Ya if he had a partner. An Fei Ya directly said that Wang Lei was her husband. When Wang Lei came to find her and didn't allow her to smoke, she thought he resembled a brother and a father, but she didn't need those two roles. Instead, she wanted Wang Lei to be her husband.

Wang Lei knew that An Fei Ya's mother was in China, so he specifically asked Xu Wei Biao to help find her. They have now found a woman who meets all the criteria, but she is currently just an ordinary housewife. Wang Lei doesn't know whether or not to tell An Fei Ya about all of this.

Diao Yu and Xu Wei Biao are cooperating, and the smuggling operation is gaining momentum. However, Diao Zhe is very dissatisfied. He believes that in the underworld, one should not trust anyone and worries that if things continue like this, he will have nothing to eat. But Diao Yu completely disregards Diao Zhe's opinion. He knows that Diao Zhe is addicted to drugs and advises him not to touch them anymore.

Tonight is the Mid-Autumn Festival. Diao Yu and Xu Wei Biao gather with their brothers. Zhang Peng suggests that after delivering this batch of goods, they should take everyone to Yunjiang for some fun. Xu Wei Biao, who has been busy lately, rarely spends time with Lin Hong Mei, immediately says he won't go and instead goes back to Lin's house to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with Lin's parents. He specially bought two popular pagers, one of which is for Lin Zhi Hua, but he is worried that Lin Zhi Hua won't accept it, so he tells his father-in-law that it was bought by Lin Hong Mei.

That night, when Lin Zhi Hua returned home for dinner, he showed no enthusiasm towards Xu Wei Biao. As soon as he heard the pager from Hong Kong, he immediately contacted the smuggling operation. This made Lin's father particularly displeased and scolded Lin Zhi Hua for not recognizing good intentions. Lin Zhi Hua only ate a few bites of his meal and used the excuse of working overtime to go to the police station.

Tonight, Hou Haiying is also at the police station. Seeing that Lin Zhi Hua didn't return home, he knew something must be wrong. However, he had something more important to do at the moment. It turns out that Hou Haiying knows that Diao Zhe frequents nightclubs and uses drugs, so he goes to find him, scaring Diao Zhe into quickly pouring out the water in his cup.

Hou Haiying knew very well that the evidence he had against Diao Zhe was only enough to make him serve a couple of months in prison. But the brothers who were betrayed by Diao Zhe years ago were about to be released. If news of Diao Zhe's betrayal got out, neither Diao Zhe nor Diao Yu would have good days ahead. Diao Zhe had always been a petty person, so when threatened by Hou Haiying, he immediately exposed Diao Yu and even sold out Xu Wei Biao, revealing Xu Wei Biao's smuggling warehouse.

When Hou Haiying and his men went to make the arrest, Huang Si Er happened to be in the warehouse. Sensing the danger, he rushed into the warehouse and locked the door, intending to destroy the evidence of smuggling. However, his hands were shaking uncontrollably, making it impossible for him to light a fire. In his desperation, he tore off a few crucial pages and stuffed them into his mouth. Hou Haiying used his gun to break open the lock and entered the warehouse, capturing Huang Si Er. But by that time, Huang Si Er had already swallowed those pages, and Hou Haiying couldn't do anything about it.

Zhang Peng approached Xu Wei Biao again for money. Xu Wei Biao couldn't understand why Zhang Peng needed so much money when he had already used it to buy cars, houses, and support Lin Hong Mei. He pressured Zhang Peng, suspecting that he had developed some bad habits. Zhang Peng thought that his secret was exposed and was on the verge of confessing, but Xu Wei Biao mistakenly thought he had gone gambling. He immediately went along with that assumption, admitting that he had a gambling problem, but he didn't dare mention his drug addiction.

News of Huang Si Er's incident reached Xu Wei Biao, and he rushed to the police station to see him. By that time, Huang Si Er had taken all the blame upon himself. He didn't want his efforts to go to waste, so he resolutely forced Xu Wei Biao not to admit to smuggling, even though he had injured his own head in the process. Although he was saved, it would still take some time for him to regain consciousness.

Knowing that Xu Wei Biao was definitely involved in smuggling, Lin Zhi Hua arranged to meet him at the top of a tower and persuaded him to surrender. But Xu Wei Biao didn't want Huang Si Er's sacrifice to be in vain. He was determined to find out who had harmed Huang Si Er.

Diao Yu was fine, but Xu Wei Biao's warehouse was raided. This made Diao Yu suspect that it was the work of his subordinates. He began interrogating them one by one, but no one confessed. Just as Diao Yu was about to continue the interrogations, Hou Haiying showed up and directly accused Diao Zhe of being responsible.

Diao Yu was extremely angry, but Diao Zhe was his father. The Diao family had been unable to lift their heads due to the bad reputation of Diao Zhe betraying his brothers. At that moment, Diao Yu didn't know what to do.
