Episode 6 recap: Wang Lei seeks revenge and risks his life.
Ding Yi's eyes were injured by Wang Lei's mother, and he is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. His father has come specially to take care of him. Upon learning that Ding Yi wants to return to the countryside, his father believes that the money given by Ding Yi's boss is more than they could earn in a lifetime in the countryside. He advises Ding Yi not to go back.
When Ding Yi learns that his boss claimed his injury as a work-related injury to receive compensation, he feels bitter inside. However, his father knows nothing about it and continues to make arrangements to bring things for Ding Yi. When there is nobody else in the hospital room except Ding Yi, Wang Lei sneaks in and interrogates him about the person who accompanied him to Wang Lei's house that day. At first, Ding Yi refuses to answer, appearing weak to Wang Lei. Meanwhile, Ding Yi discreetly takes out a hidden dagger from under the pillow and attempts to stab Wang Lei. Wang Lei immediately counterattacks, snatches the dagger, and stabs Ding Yi's hand, causing Ding Yi to weaken. Eventually, Ding Yi confesses that the person who went with him that day was Ling Qian.
Wang Lei had previously mentioned that his family should not be harmed, but Ding Yi and Ling Qian took advantage of his absence and killed his mother. This was something he could not tolerate, and he demanded an eye for an eye, threatening Ding Yi's life. Fearing for his own life, Ding Yi immediately resists. Unable to see clearly, he randomly grabs the intravenous drip pole by the bedside and swings it around, temporarily keeping Wang Lei at bay.
Wang Lei finds an opportunity to use the drip tube to strangle Ding Yi's neck. Ding Yi's hand blindly reaches for the drip bottle and smashes it against Wang Lei, causing him to briefly lose consciousness. Taking advantage of this moment, Ding Yi flees. However, due to his impaired vision, he accidentally falls from a window on the first floor and lies motionless on the ground.
Upon learning of the situation, Xu Haijie recalls a recent gathering at Wanhe Hall and senses that something is amiss. Ding Yi is seriously injured and still unconscious, with an uncertain prognosis. Sun Haijie instructs someone to keep an eye on him and to inform him immediately if there is an opportunity for questioning. Zhong Yu Nan, Zhang Peng, and Lin Zhi Hua learn about Ding Yi's incident and excitedly go to find Wang Lei. When they see Wang Lei tending to his injuries, they immediately understand that he is responsible.
Wang Lei doesn't want to burden everyone and coldly drives the three of them away. The three of them understand that Wang Lei intends to avenge his mother in his own way, but it is extremely dangerous. They make up their minds to keep an eye on Wang Lei while keeping this information under wraps to prevent Xu Wei Biao from getting angry.
Zhang Peng, in order to keep an eye on Wang Lei, sleeps outside his door to guard him. However, he falls into a deep sleep and is unaware when Wang Lei leaves. It is only later when Zhong Yu Nan comes looking for him that they realize it. Zhang Peng becomes anxious and has no choice but to bring the matter to Xu Wei Biao's attention. Xu Wei Biao, disregarding the search for Lin Zhi Hua, immediately takes Zhang Peng and Zhong Yu Nan to rescue Wang Lei.
Wang Lei stormed into the bar, smashing everything in sight and beating up the bouncers. He grabbed a bottle of alcohol from a table and poured it directly onto his leg wound without flinching. While interrogated by the trembling bouncers, Wang Lei made it clear that he was there to find Ling Qian. Upon receiving the news, Ling Qian rushed to the scene. Seeing the battered bouncers at the entrance, Ling Qian was disdainful. In order to demonstrate her strength, she ordered everyone to wait outside while she went to meet Wang Lei alone.
Ling Qian sat directly across from Wang Lei and poured herself a drink. She speculated that Wang Lei didn't have a father, only a mother, just like herself. She remarked that Wang Lei's mother wasn't as beautiful as her own, with a hint of mockery in her words. This angered Wang Lei, and he immediately lashed out.
Seeing Wang Lei's aggression, Ling Qian grabbed a stick from the table and made the first move. Realizing that Wang Lei was a formidable opponent, she quickly defended herself. It was then that she noticed the stick was actually a long knife. Ling Qian viciously swung the knife at Wang Lei, but to her surprise, he caught it barehanded. This made Ling Qian drop her condescending attitude towards Wang Lei. Unexpectedly, Wang Lei seized an opportunity and pulled out a hidden dagger from his pants, stabbing Ling Qian and injuring her.
Seeing the wounds on her body, Ling Qian's ferocity was fully awakened, and she retaliated against Wang Lei in a more brutal manner. Xu Wei Biao arrived at the entrance of the bar and used his bicycle to knock down the people blocking the way. He rushed in to support Wang Lei just in time, saving his life. Together, they fought against Ling Qian, and after a hard-fought battle, the unconscious He Er Qing regained consciousness.
Ling Qian ordered He Er Qing to quickly hand him the knife, but He Er Qing, who had been sleeping with Ling Qian's wife and enduring Ling Qian's mistreatment, saw this as an opportunity for revenge. He grabbed the knife and stabbed Ling Qian to death. Upon learning of Ling Qian's situation, He Er Qing went to the bar to assess the situation. Seeing that Ling Qian was dead while He Er Qing was unscathed, combined with the fact that He Er Qing had slept with Ling Qian's wife, He Er Qing was convinced that He Er Qing was untrustworthy and killed him.
Concerned about the escalating situation between Ding Yi and Ling Qian, Xu Wei Biao took Zhong Yu Nan, Zhang Peng, and Wang Lei to his relatives' house in the countryside to lay low.
