Episode 7 recap: Zhong Yu Nan steals a gun to save someone.
He Er Qing is dissatisfied with the money given by Zhong Er. He feels that Zhong Er treats him as a beggar, buying his brother Ling Qian's life with such a small amount of money. Zhong Er is extremely troubled and expresses his anger. He states that his family is not a bank and cannot keep up with He Er Qing's repeated visits for money. He agrees with He Er Qing to let Zhong Yu Nan go, provided that he prepares the money as requested by He Er Qing and hands over Xu Wei Biao, Lin Zhi Hua, Zhang Peng, and Wang Lei to He Er Qing for disposal.

Zhong Yu Nan returns home in a daze, seeing the blood at the doorstep and the chaotic scene inside. Tears keep streaming down his face as he realizes that he no longer has a home.
Hearing movement from the wardrobe, Zhong Yu Nan takes out a handgun and aims it at the wardrobe. When he opens it, he finds Zhong Pan Nan inside, and the siblings embrace each other and cry in despair. Zhong Pan Nan knows that their home is no longer safe. They hastily pack their belongings and leave to seek shelter, both wanting to avenge Zhong Er. However, they find that none of Zhong Er's old friends are willing to stand up for him.
Realizing this, Zhong Yu Nan waits for Zhong Pan Nan to fall asleep and quietly takes the gun, intending to find an opportunity to kill He Er Qing. However, the people Zhong Pan Nan previously contacted were discovered by He Er Qing before they could act, and they have already been severely injured. He Er Qing uses this to shake Zhong Yu Nan's resolve to shoot.
Believing He Er Qing's words, Zhong Yu Nan puts down the gun, causing one of his own men to be fatally shot, and he himself is captured by He Er Qing. Zhong Pan Nan returns to the Zhong family home after discovering that Zhong Yu Nan and the gun are missing. As soon as she enters the house, she receives a phone call from He Er Qing, demanding 100,000 yuan as ransom for Zhong Yu Nan.
