Episode 16 recap: Ma Jia performed a high-risk surgery to save the patient.
Returning to Maile Village, Ma Jia passed by the wall where all the team members had pressed their handprints when they first arrived. It reminded him of his initial enthusiasm. Looking at the emblem of the 25th batch of the medical aid team to Africa, Ma Jia made up his mind to perform the challenging surgery, even though he could be called back to his home country at any time. Di Ma specially wanted to learn a couple of moves from Ma Jia, so he applied to observe the surgery. Ma Jia generously agreed to make an additional spot available, which touched Di Ma. Ma Jia was delighted to hear Di Ma speaking Chinese and was glad to know that Di Ma was learning the language to communicate with him and improve his medical skills.
