Episode 24 recap: Ma Jia is unaware of her father's condition.
Today, Sun Shuang appears unhappy because she cannot see her only relative. Zhao Yi Cong learns that Sun Shuang's father spent his whole life working tirelessly, even to the point of losing his family. His wife remarried a foreigner, taking their son with her and never returning. Sun Shuang's father is now the only family she has left, but he made a regrettable decision in his desperation to save his company. As a result, he is now imprisoned, making it difficult for Sun Shuang to even see him.

Ma Jia calls her father, who tries to hide the fact that he is in the hospital. He quickly retreats to the bathroom to answer the phone. She decides to pick up her father and take him to Shuangqing after she returns, where she can take care of him. At that moment, someone knocks on the door, urging Ma's father. He quickly hangs up the phone, leaving Ma Jia puzzled. Ma Jia looks at the young patient's face and is unwilling to give up. She, along with Jiang Da Qiao, tries to persuade Kang Guo to continue treatment. Although Qi Dan advocates for giving up, he admires Ma Jia's courage and responsibility and ultimately supports her decision. Amadou is a severe cerebral malaria patient, and Kase Hospital doesn't have a dialysis machine, making dialysis impossible. Ma Jia and Jiang Da Qiao know that Mondelli has a dialysis machine, so they decide to transport Amadou there for dialysis. Without a ventilator, they can only use the most primitive method—using a peritoneal bag to maintain Amadou's breathing. By the time they reach Mondelli Hospital, their hands are trembling, and they are all exhausted.
After Amadou undergoes the first dialysis, his vital signs stabilize, and there is some improvement in electrolyte imbalance. Qi Dan and Kang Guo still have doubts, but Ma Jia insists on having Amadou undergo a second dialysis. Ma Jia knows that these few days are crucial for Amadou and stays at the hospital without resting. Finally, the day for Amadou's third dialysis arrives, but unfortunately, it coincides with the rainbow marathon, causing the entire street to be blocked, making it impossible for vehicles to pass through.

However, the results of the exploration are not favorable, and Liu Xiao Xian is extremely anxious, constantly calling Ma Jia. But Ma Jia is still on her way to transporting Amadou to Mondelli and doesn't notice her phone's activity at all.
At this moment, Liu Xiao Xian blames Ma Jia. She tremblingly signs her name, looks at the long list of missed calls, and feels an overwhelming coldness in her heart. She waits silently outside the operating room. Ma Jia manages to get the patient into Mondelli Hospital within the last two minutes before the oxygen runs out. This surprises her.
