Episode 3 recap: Ma Jia applies for a medical mission in Africa.
Lao Chen's condition requires urgent surgery. In order to reassure the family, they specially prepared a red envelope for Ma Jia, who is in charge of the operation. However, Ma Jia refuses to accept the patient's red envelope. Seeing that the family is truly worried, he accepts 100 yuan and donates it to the Red Cross by putting it in the established fund box. Qiao Dajiang learns that the fund was Ma Jia's idea and greatly admires him. In order to clear up the misunderstanding between them, he immediately arranges a meeting with Ma Jia on the rooftop.

Ma Jia sees the recruitment notice for the Sangna Medical Team in the office, and the images of the grassland make him feel as if he is there. He can't help but yearn for it. To prevent too much disparity between reality and his ideals, Ma Jia specifically seeks information from Suleiman, who is from Sangna. Suleiman loves his hometown very much. He tells Ma Jia that Africa is the world's paradise and Sangna is the diamond of that paradise. The people there are simple, the scenery is pleasant, and there is a variety of delicious food. The reason he came to China was to learn advanced medical skills and return to his country to save lives.
Ma Jia wants to go to Sangna to relax, so he shares this idea with Liu Xiaoxian. When Ma Jia's mother-in-law learns that he is going to Africa for two years, she scolds him fiercely, but fortunately, his father-in-law supports Ma Jia, resolving the conflict.
