Episode 6 recap: Ma Jia wanted to take a bath but was mistaken for a thief.

Ma Jia and the team arrived in Africa and were driving towards Maile Village. On the way, they encountered people selling things. One team member enthusiastically offered to buy, but Jiang Da Qiao quickly stopped them and reminded them not to pay attention to the sellers. Otherwise, everyone in the car would be delayed. Ma Jia sat in the front seat of the car, chatting with the driver Muzina while observing the scenery on the street. Ma Jia noticed that traffic police in Africa were directing traffic in a way that resembled dancing, and couldn't help but imitate their moves.

The traffic police noticed Ma Jia's actions and signaled the vehicles to stop. Jiang Da Qiao was concerned that the traffic police might feel offended, so he quickly asked Ma Jia to apologize. Fortunately, the traffic police were very friendly and didn't feel offended. They even taught Ma Jia some dance moves, which lightened the atmosphere. Muzina drove the car on a dirt road, creating a cloud of dust. Maile Village was at the end of this road. A young girl saw the flowers and vegetable fields in Maile Village and thought the environment was nice and fun. The team members also explored the village's surroundings and discovered not only vegetable fields but also a basketball court. They were already thinking about singing on the basketball court in the future.

The buildings in Maile Village were old. The dining hall was on the ground floor, and the warehouse was upstairs. The warehouse contained old items that had been piled up for a long time. The team members were curious and went upstairs to take a look. They found a broken hot pot and thought about fixing it so they could enjoy hot pot later. In the dusty warehouse, Ma Jia saw an old cabinet tied up. Curiously, she asked Guo Shifu what it was. Guo Shifu casually replied that it was just some useless stuff and asked Ma Jia to open it. However, when Ma Jia saw the ropes wrapped around it, she decided not to touch it.

In Maile Village, the tradition for announcing mealtime was to strike an iron plate. When the plate rang, everyone gathered in the dining hall. That evening, they only had cornmeal curry, which had a mild flavor that some people found hard to adapt to. Fortunately, someone brought chili peppers, so they took them out and shared with everyone. It was then that they learned from Guo Shifu that they couldn't even buy noodles here. The recent heavy rain made it difficult to obtain food supplies.

The dormitory had air conditioning, but the voltage here was too low to support its operation. The team members couldn't imagine how hot it would be. Then came the bad news that the water tower couldn't supply water that day, so everyone would have to wait until the next day to take a shower. After a long day of traveling, the team members instinctively glanced at themselves upon hearing this news, and even they felt disgusted. But it didn't end there because the personnel from the 24th batch of aid workers in Africa had not yet left, so they still had to share a dormitory with another person. Thinking about spending the night without being able to take a shower and having to sleep crowded together, they couldn't bear it.

Night fell, mosquitoes buzzed around, and Peng Wei was annoyed by the constant mosquito bites. He swatted at the mosquitoes while complaining about how vicious they were. Ma Jia told him to look at the national flag on his clothes to overcome the current difficulties, but in reality, Ma Jia herself couldn't stand the smell and discomfort. Holding a basin and towel, she went in search of water. She searched everywhere and found that only the dining hall had drinking water. Ma Jia didn't have time to think too much and poured some water into the basin, which happened to be seen by Wachinu.

Wachinu mistook Ma Jia for a thief and grabbed her. Jiang Da Qiao was attracted by the commotion in the dining hall and saw Ma Jia using drinking water for bathing, which angered him. He scolded Ma Jia for her inappropriate actions, not realizing how precious water was in Africa. Ma Jia suggested compensating with money, but Jiang Da Qiao believed it was a matter of awareness and attitude and refused to handle it according to Ma Jia's suggestion. Ma Jia also got angry and immediately lifted the basin, intending to drink the water to avoid breaking the rules. The team members quickly stopped her, causing the water in the basin to spill.

At that moment, it started raining heavily. Ma Jia, feeling frustrated, stood in the pouring rain, allowing the water to wash over her body. She picked up the basin filled with rainwater and poured it over herself again and again. Zheng Gang had initially warned Ma Jia that the water was problematic, but Ma Jia was stubborn and washed herself in the rain. As a result, she developed a fever the next day and couldn't join everyone in going to the hospital to gather information.

Not wanting to falter on the first day, Ma Jia forced herself out of bed, had a light breakfast, and hopped on a motorbike to set off. She traversed various alleys and finally arrived at the hospital. This hospital, supported by the Chinese medical team, was a gathering place for critically ill patients in Africa. Most of them had been transferred here because other hospitals couldn't provide proper treatment.

The hospital not only had outdated equipment but also a severely understaffed medical team. There were only six licensed doctors, and the others, over a dozen, were auxiliary doctors similar to village doctors. The Chinese doctors were the main force in this hospital and were highly trusted by the African people.
