Episode 18 recap: Tang Yu's daring act of jumping into the sea to save someone frightened Tang Xin.
Huo Chen Dong, brimming with confidence, suggested an idea to Tang Yu. He advised Tang Yu to pick a special day, such as the 200th day since their first forced kiss, to confess his feelings to Tang Xin. Hearing Huo Chen Dong's unreliable suggestion, Tang Yu almost thought he was crazy to consult him and promptly kicked him out of the office.
Unable to come up with a reliable idea, Tang Yu went home to seek advice from his father, Tang Hai Ming, who had only succeeded in love once. However, after discussing for over an hour, neither of them could come up with a plan. Seeing this, Tang Yu's mother intervened and asked Tang Hai Ming to step aside. She then explained to Tang Yu that a sincere and romantic confession was what girls desired. She suggested that Tang Yu create a romantic atmosphere in a setting where there were only the two of them, taking advantage of a work opportunity.
Tang Yu took his mother's words to heart and began to contemplate where to confess his feelings. Today, there was a meeting for the film "Dreaming of You" organized by Time Film Company. Tang Xin arrived early, but even earlier was Tang Yu. Seeing that Tang Xin was sitting too far away, Tang Yu asked her to sit beside him and inquired about any places she wanted to visit, offering to accompany her. Lu Zhi Xing and Gao Heng, who had just arrived, saw Tang Yu squatting in front of Tang Xin and talking to her. They quickly walked away, prompting Tang Yu to stop his unfinished words and return to his seat.
The focus of the dispute in the meeting was that Lu Zhi Xing wanted to shoot on location at Icestone Ville, while producer Tang Yu found it unrealistic due to the increased costs and extended time frame of shooting abroad. Tang Xin, as the lead screenwriter, became the intermediary for Tang Yu and Lu Zhi Xing, with each of them explaining their viewpoints to her and asking her to persuade the other. Tang Xin became overwhelmed and exhausted from being dragged between the two childish brothers. She pleaded with them to argue with each other directly instead of using her as a messenger, but both of them felt the other was not calm enough and refused to meet face to face.
With no other option, Tang Xin brought Tang Ding Ding, hoping she could help mediate. However, Tang Ding Ding lacked the courage to face Tang Yu and Lu Zhi Xing and initially declined. But Tang Xin insisted, and they coincidentally encountered Tang Yu, who came to them willingly.
Tang Ding Ding and Tang Xin walked obediently, and when they arrived at the restaurant, they saw Tang Yu and Lu Zhi Xing sitting at the far ends of a long table, not only with their backs turned to each other but also showing signs of another argument. Initially, Tang Xin and Tang Ding Ding tried to persuade them, but eventually, they gave up and decided to leave. Unexpectedly, both Lu Zhi Xing and Tang Yu called out to stop them and then sat down together for a serious discussion. Tang Yu presented a scenic photo as an alternative to Icestone Ville, which greatly satisfied Tang Xin. However, the photo didn't meet Lu Zhi Xing's standards. Tang Yu assured him that a survey had already been conducted on a deserted island, and Lu Zhi Xing could decide whether to use it after seeing the results.
Lu Zhi Xing didn't object and left first, leaving Tang Ding Ding unsure whether he agreed or disagreed. To clarify, Tang Ding Ding packed dinner for him and delivered it. When Lu Zhi Xing saw Tang Ding Ding cautiously probing his stance, he openly stated that he agreed to see the island scenery before making a decision. He also gave Tang Ding Ding a bottle of wine. Unexpectedly, Tang Ding Ding felt the situation between them was awkward and quickly drank the wine, hoping to finish quickly and leave. Lu Zhi Xing, observing Tang Ding Ding's innocence, couldn't help but smile and suggested she go home early.
Tomorrow is the day the crew departs, and while Tang Xin was packing her luggage, she learned from You Huan that Tang Yu chose to shoot at Lover's Bay in Xiamen City because he wanted to confess his feelings to her. This made her feel excited and hopeful. Tang Yu sent several messages to Tang Xin, but she didn't reply to any of them, which made him feel a bit disappointed. He went to Tang Xin's door and rang the doorbell.
Tang Xin, upset that Tang Yu didn't confess, didn't let him in. When her suitcase couldn't close, she went to open the door, hoping Tang Yu could help. However, Tang Yu had already left, which made Tang Xin even more unhappy. Tang Yu had been observing Tang Xin's door and quickly came out when he saw her opening it, but unexpectedly, this made Tang Xin even more displeased.
The next day, both Gao Heng and Tang Xin didn't want to sit next to Lu Zhi Xing and Tang Yu. After exchanging glances, Tang Xin successfully sat in the passenger seat, and Gao Heng had no choice but to endure the low atmosphere between Tang Yu and Lu Zhi Xing in the back seat.
Liu Yang arrived at the seaside to take photos. While taking pictures, he accidentally fell into the sea. Fortunately, Tang Yu noticed Liu Yang's disappearance and quickly jumped into the water to save him. Tang Xin went to seek help from Lu Zhi Xing and Gao Heng, and Gao Heng quickly undressed, preparing to jump into the sea. However, Lu Zhi Xing said that Tang Yu is a good swimmer and assured Gao Heng that he could trust him. Little did Gao Heng know that Tang Yu hadn't swum in the past two years due to an injury, which made him even more anxious. Luckily, Tang Yu managed to rescue Liu Yang safely and brought him ashore. At that moment, Tang Yu was exhausted and collapsed on the beach.
Tang Xin saw Tang Yu returning and hugged him tightly, confessing her feelings and expressing her desire to be with him. She realized that the danger they just faced made her no longer care about formalities. However, Tang Yu wanted to make up for all the ceremonial aspects for Tang Xin.
