Episode 22 recap: Tang Yu and Tang Xin meet the parents.
Tang Xin received a phone call from her parents and learned that they were unhappy that she hadn't told them about her relationship earlier, especially since her love interest was the same "playboy" Tang Yu from before. She quickly brought Tang Yu home to meet her parents. When Tang Xin arrived home, Tang Da Wei was wearing headphones and sweeping at the door. He didn't like seeing Tang Yu with Tang Xin and was annoyed but couldn't resist Tang Xin's pleading, so he reluctantly let them in. However, he wasn't friendly and playfully swept Tang Yu's feet with the broom.
Tang Yu knew that Tang Xin was worried about her parents accepting him, so he reassured her to relax. However, he didn't expect Tang Da Wei to immediately ask if he knew how to play Mahjong. Tang Yu didn't know how to play, but he quickly learned in order to please his future father-in-law, Tang Da Wei. Tang Yu even tried to give his own tiles to Tang Da Wei, but Tang Xin always beat Tang Da Wei to it, which frustrated him and made him refuse to play.
After observing Tang Yu, Tang Da Wei concluded that he had a good character. He also noticed that Tang Yu was always caring for Tang Xin in small, unintentional ways, which pleased him even more. However, Tang Da Wei made it clear that although he agreed to Tang Yu and Tang Xin's relationship and even marriage, he demanded that Tang Yu treat Tang Xin well and wanted to know how much Tang Yu truly loved Tang Xin.
Tang Xin had always wondered how much Tang Yu loved her, so when Tang Da Wei asked this question, she also wanted to know. Tang Yu knelt down and swore to love Tang Xin forever, which not only satisfied Tang Xin's parents but also deeply moved Tang Xin herself. She tightly held Tang Yu's hand.

Tang Yu became jealous as soon as he heard this, but Tang Da Wei remained oblivious and continued talking enthusiastically. He was finally pulled away by his wife and quieted down.
Tang Xin felt guilty and didn't dare to look at Tang Yu, but he took advantage of their alone time and pulled Tang Xin, along with a stool, closer to him. He questioned her if she was really in such a hurry to meet Han Yang today. In the end, he managed to persuade Tang Xin to let him accompany her, but unexpectedly, Tang Da Wei requested Tang Yu to accompany him to the chess and card room to play Mahjong. In order to please his future father-in-law, Tang Yu chose to accompany Tang Da Wei.
As soon as Tang Xin arrived at the class reunion, several people surrounded her and asked about her relationship with Tang Yu. You Huan quickly stepped in and silenced them. Han Yang arrived late due to traffic and sat next to Tang Xin. The two of them talked about their lives in recent years. Tang Yu successfully passed the test with Tang Xin's parents and wanted Tang Xin to meet his own parents. Tang Xin was nervous, but she couldn't bear to refuse Tang Yu's anticipation, so she agreed. She wanted to dress more formally that day, and Tang Yu wanted to prepare a dress for her. In the heat of the moment, Tang Xin reported that she weighed five pounds less, forcing herself to lose weight in the following days.
Tang Yu didn't make the dress according to Tang Xin's reported weight. He only wanted Tang Xin to be healthy and happy. On the day of meeting his parents, Tang Yu's mother gave Tang Xin a generous red envelope and asked about their marriage plans.
