Episode 9 recap: Misunderstandings between He Yihuan and Xuanming led to confusion.
Someone started making a commotion here, claiming that they would expose the true face of the Gu family today. Xuanming got injured here and didn't expect to have an external demonic energy inside him. Yinao Taoyao appeared and said that she had been lurking inside him for so long, and finally, the opportunity had come. He Yihuan wanted to come and find Xuanming but discovered a barrier on his side that he couldn't pass through.
Xuanming saw Fengque and asked how he managed to come here. When He Yihuan heard Xuanming speaking to Fengque and saying that He Yihuan was just his contractual wife and that he didn't care about her at all, she was nothing more than a burden to him, and it made her very sad.
Fengque was also surprised and felt that he had overestimated their relationship. Fengque left first, and He Yihuan fainted outside. Xuanming noticed that something was wrong with He Yihuan and brought her inside, intending to use his blood to heal her injuries. He Yihuan asked Xuanming not to bother with her, as she was not important to him anyway. Xuanming explained that he deliberately said those things because if Fengque knew that He Yihuan was important to him, Fengque would use her as leverage, and he couldn't let that happen.
He Yihuan finally understood the situation and felt relieved. She and Xuanming shared a kiss, but unexpectedly, He Ziyang knocked on the door from outside, unable to open it. He threatened to kick the door open if it wasn't opened soon. He Yihuan angrily opened the door and kicked He Ziyang, sending him flying. He Ziyang was confused and had no idea what was going on with He Yihuan.
