Episode 4 recap: Hu Ba Yi embarked on a mission to rescue Ali.

After the suspension ladder fell, Hu Ba Yi happened to land on an ancient three-masted ship. Outside the ship, there was a fishing net that had ensnared a lifeboat. Unable to control the three-masted ship, Hu Ba Yi decided to remove the fishing net. He climbed down along the ship's side and took out his knife to cut the net that was entangled with the lifeboat.

After completing these tasks, Hu Ba Yi climbed back onto the ship. However, the three-masted ship had drifted far away from the Trident. He contemplated how to return to his own ship when he noticed that the cabin of the ancient ship was filled with black blood. He speculated that the black blood must have been left by deceased individuals and likely contained disease-causing bacteria. Hastily, he sought refuge in a higher place, but even so, his hands became stained with it.

In order to save Hu Ba Yi, Shirley Yang shot a grappling hook from the Trident towards the mast of the three-masted ship. Hu Ba Yi climbed up the mast and grabbed the rope attached to the grappling hook. Gu Cai climbed onto the mast of the Trident and secured the other end of the rope. With that done, Hu Ba Yi held onto the rope and leaped back to his own ship.

While everyone was busy, Ruan Hei noticed that the two sailors, Da Li and A Hao, brought by Baldy were doing nothing and hiding aside. He loudly commanded them to go out and help. Unexpectedly, when the two went out, they only caused trouble. Da Li was swept under the ship by a big wave as soon as he reached the deck. A Hao urgently informed everyone that Da Li couldn't swim. Hu Ba Yi wanted Ruan Hei to turn the ship back and rescue Da Li, but Ruan Hei told him that according to the rules of the sea, they couldn't endanger more people to save one person. Therefore, he completely ignored Hu Ba Yi's request. With A Hao's assistance, Hu Ba Yi snatched the helm from Ruan Hei's hands and steered the ship toward Da Li.

Ignoring Hu Ba Yi's request, Ruan Hei, Hu Ba Yi, with A Hao's help, took the helm from Ruan Hei and steered the ship toward Da Li.

After Da Li fell into the sea, although he held onto a foam, a wave hit him and sent him towards the seabed. As he resurfaced from the depths, Da Li was feeling desperate. Suddenly, Hu Ba Yi leaped into the water and swiftly swam to his side. At that moment, the three-masted ship came crashing towards them. Baldy ordered everyone to bring out the cannonballs and fired at the ship. As they saw the ancient ship catching fire, Baldy was feeling triumphant, but Shirley Yang noticed that Hu Ba Yi and Da Li were missing.

In the instant when the cannonball struck the three-masted ship, Hu Ba Yi, carrying Da Li, quickly submerged underwater. Beneath the three-masted ship's mast, he saw a colossal creature that resembled a giant turtle. Once they returned to the ship, Hu Ba Yi recounted the incident, and Baldy informed everyone that the creature was likely a great white shark. It had been captured and tied under the ship with a fishing net, intended for sacrificial purposes. Upon hearing Baldy's words, Hu Ba Yi finally understood why the three-masted ship had been tailing them—it was all because of the mischievous acts of the great white shark.

When the people inquired about the two sailors who couldn't swim, Baldy had no choice but to tell the truth. His son had accumulated gambling debts, and those two individuals were debt collectors.
