Episode 7 recap: Hu Ba Yi discovered a dragon underwater.

While Gu Cai and Ruan Hei were collecting pearls, Hu Ba Yi and Xue Liyang were searching for a sunken ship. They found several sunken ships in that area, but none of them was the one they were looking for, the Mary Celeste. At the location of one of the sunken ships, they encountered a large dragon. The dragon opened its mouth and suddenly charged towards them.

Underwater, Ruan Hei also discovered a clam with a fish inside. Because the clam was too large, Hu Ba Yi suspected that it might not be a fish inside but possibly a person. While Gu Cai and Ruan Hei were collecting pearls, Hu Ba Yi, Ming Shu, and Xue Liyang were searching for the sunken ship. They were wearing diving suits and had powerful flashlights on their arms. They found several sunken ships in that area, but none of them was the one they were looking for, the Mary Celeste. At the location of one of the sunken ships, Hu Ba Yi found an ancient jade disc. Just as he picked up the jade disc, a very large python suddenly attacked them. The bald Ming Shu was struck by the python's tail and knocked down. After knocking down Ming Shu, the python opened its huge mouth, ready to swallow him. Hu Ba Yi had a pistol on his right arm in the diving suit. Seeing that Ming Shu was in danger, Hu Ba Yi pulled the trigger, shooting the python. As the python escaped, Xue Liyang was astonished to find that the python looked remarkably similar to the legendary dragon.

Hu Ba Yi, Xue Liyang, and Ming Shu explored underwater for a while longer and then returned to the Triton. Shortly after they got on the ship, Gu Cai emerged from the sea and informed Ming Shu to quickly lower the crane's iron chain. Gu Cai and his master had discovered a massive river clam underwater. Upon hearing Gu Cai's words, Ming Shu's eyes lit up. He suspected that what Gu Cai and his master encountered was a clam with a fish inside.

The large river clam was pulled onto the ship. Following the customs of the ethnic group, Ming Shu first performed a prayer and then took a curved knife. He made a cut between the two shells of the clam and then had the fat man bring a jack to pry open the two shells. To everyone's delight, they discovered a pearl inside the large river clam in the shape of a human.

Ming Shu took out the human-shaped pearl and held it in his arms like holding a child. Hu Ba Yi counted and found that besides this human-shaped pearl, they had collected a total of 32 large pearls underwater. He decided to keep all these items for himself and distribute them among the group once they returned. A Hao and Da Li also wanted a share, but since they didn't contribute anything, the others disagreed.

As the sun was about to set, according to Hu Ba Yi's suggestion, they decided to rest for the day. However, Ruan Hei and Gu Cai didn't listen to his advice and dived underwater again. Hu Ba Yi sarcastically remarked that the two cared more about money than their lives. However, Ming Shu explained that in the past, the ethnic group had to pay various taxes when collecting pearls, but now that the taxes were abolished, it was hard for them to find places to collect pearls. So their desire to collect more could be understood.

While the group was talking, Hu Ba Yi suddenly noticed ghostly lights appearing on the surface of the sea. Ming Shu followed his gaze and immediately exclaimed that it was the light of ghostly flames, indicating danger. He suggested fleeing on the boat, but Hu Ba Yi insisted on waiting for Ruan Hei and his master to come up before leaving.
