This year, it's the best modern romance drama I've watched so far. It has a fast-paced plot, it's sweet, and it's funny. My face was tired from smiling the whole time, and I couldn't stop giggling. It's so captivating that four episodes are not enough. The male lead, Mo Qingcheng, is particularly skilled at flirting, making the female lead go silly. It had me screaming with excitement, kicking my legs under the covers. It's an incredibly cute and addictive drama.

I was strongly recommended by a friend and watched two episodes. Zhouye didn't disappoint, his acting in idol dramas is decent, and the supporting cast has good looks. The most pleasant surprise was Tan Jianci, his voice is incredibly pleasing to the ear, and he has great expressions. Additionally, the filter used in the show is very soothing, creating a warm atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding after work while enjoying some fried chicken.

A heartwarming and healing drama, with high-quality visuals, great music, and delicious food. It cleverly intertwines modern storylines with a historical drama within the drama, which adds an interesting element. The male lead, Mo Qingcheng, is the ideal boyfriend—a doctor by profession and a talented voice actor in his spare time. He's gentle with a hint of cunning, capable of making money, cooking, singing, and even helping you save money on audiobooks while cosplaying. His appearance in historical costumes is breathtaking. No wonder people are asking the actor to return to filming historical dramas. One Xiang Liu is simply not enough to satisfy us (Shen Yibai Moonlight: ...you can check out my review).

Mo Qingcheng is so gentle. Those eyes of his are so beautiful and full of love. His voice is so pleasing to the ears. He has a mature charm that makes me want to call him "big brother." JCT's acting is consistently natural, delivering his lines flawlessly without breaking character. The subtle expressions and eye acting are superb. The sweet storyline is like sipping a warm cup of milk tea on a winter day.

After watching a few episodes, it's quite faithful to the novel. Mo Qingcheng and Gu Sheng's personal images are very well matched with Tan Jianci and Zhou Yen. There is no sense of discordance, and their interactions are quite enjoyable. The cinematography and special effects in this drama are visually pleasing, making it one of the best modern romantic dramas of the year.

The visuals and art style are extremely pleasing to the eye. The entire cast is supportive and sweet. Who took away my object of affection? (Running back and forth) Who? (Looking up to the sky and howling) Is it you who took away my object of affection? (Grabbing by the collar) Speak up, is it you? (Staring intensely) What? It's not you? (Very puzzled) Then who took away my object of affection? Who could it be? (Continuing to run)

The original text is very short and has been adapted into a 33-episode TV drama. The original author, Mo Bao Fei Bao, also serves as the screenwriter, so there must be a lot of beloved sweet moments added for the audience. On top of the original text, it adds a layer of utopian and highly romantic colors, giving people a seamless and immersive audiovisual experience.
Who can resist the allure of the voice acting and the charm of the ancient style? Whether you're a fan of the novel, the drama, or the main characters, or even just a casual viewer, it's worth watching this drama. After all, the quality of production, the skills of the director and screenwriter, and the actors' suitability for their roles are all clearly visible to the audience.
Also, the character of Mo Qingcheng is voiced by the renowned voice actor Tan Jianci himself. I believe he is very demanding of himself, which is why he is able to surprise people time and time again. Within Tan Jianci's own standards, if he cannot express the soul of the character, then he is no different from trash as an actor. He truly is a delightful surprise in this era (shouting loudly)!

It's really hard for bystanders who have read the novel to tolerate these malicious low ratings. As a sweet drama, this series has been captivating since its trailer was released. The color grading is good, and the original voice lines are fantastic! Another highlight is the heartfelt OST. After watching the premiere, it indeed exceeded my expectations. It perfectly captures the atmospheric feeling I got from the novel, with a smooth storyline and comfortable camera movements. The older male lead is gentle and straightforward, and the surprise of the female college student suddenly becoming the idol's love interest is well-executed. For those who claim that love happens too suddenly, please watch a few more episodes. How can you judge the cause and effect after just four episodes? Is Douban's rating now a battleground for fandoms? Can't there be a bit more fairness? Well-made modern romance dramas are already rare, and it's rare to find one that satisfies...

The visuals, costumes, and dialogues all have a great sense of quality. The plot is rich, like a bowl of sweet soup in the winter. Tan Jianci is perfect for playing this kind of gentle and kind-hearted boyfriend, while Zhou Yen fits well as a pure and innocent young woman. Hou Ge also brings a strong and masculine presence. Overall, it's very pleasing to my eyes and ears!

This drama seems to have quite a rich set of elements, and it's not just a mindless sweet drama. The male lead treats the female lead with respect and gives her emotional value, which should make it quite engaging. I'm really looking forward to what's to come. Lastly, I can only say that some malicious low ratings and personal attacks on the actors show extremely poor quality. Such despicable behavior is nauseating.

This is a pretty innovative modern idol drama with an ensemble cast. It's not just about the main couple; the interactions among the members of the studio and the club are also quite intriguing. Moreover, it's surprising that the ending theme song changes every two episodes in the drama. I wonder if there will be a new ending theme song tomorrow as well. Looking forward to it!

As a foodie and voice lover, I was attracted to this TV drama, but I didn't expect to be captivated by the male lead's subtle acting skills. There are also plenty of beautiful ancient-style songs in the drama, which I really enjoy. The male and female leads have a mutual liking for each other's voices, and the male lead knows that the only hobby the female lead knows about is eating, so reciting recipes becomes a cautious excuse to slowly get closer. The initial fondness and slight awkwardness were portrayed very naturally, and as the two characters become more familiar with each other, I find myself getting more and more absorbed in the story. I've been feeling down lately, but watching their clumsy approach and slow-burning romance, my lips unconsciously curl up, it's so sweet, like the natural sweetness of a strawberry you put in your mouth yourself.
By the way, I didn't expect Tǎn Jiàn Cì's lines to be so powerful, especially the dubbing competition scene, it really amazed me. And the director did a great job, with comfortable filters, smooth transitions, and pleasant music. I think it's a rare good drama.

I binge-watched all four episodes in one go, and it's exactly like the book! Firstly, the adaptation is incredibly faithful, and Tan Jianci's portrayal of Mo Qingcheng is excellent in terms of appearance, voice, and professionalism. When reading the book, I had a slight concern about how the actors would bring the characters to life on screen, but after watching the first four episodes, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they didn't miss a beat. It even exceeded my expectations!
Secondly, the drama is filled with rich elements. I absolutely love the songs that have been featured so far; they have a strong ancient charm and have awakened memories from the past. I immediately added them to my playlist. And then there's the food aspect—haha, every time there are special effects and close-ups, it's both professional and funny. My roommate joked that it feels like watching a food documentary.
In fact, the biggest impression this drama left on me is that it's very heartwarming. It gives me a sense of happiness, as if I'm surrounded by love. It's perfect to watch while eating, or even hiding under the covers, feeling all sweet and cozy inside.
I heard that there will be many interesting plot developments, and they even visit Guilin, which has breathtaking scenery. I'm really looking forward to it. Well, I better stop here for now.

Leaving aside whether Tan Jianci is suitable for the male lead, the plot of this drama is simply awkward. The characters' connection and falling in love seem to happen out of nowhere. There is no useful storyline; it's purely about romance. It's disappointing compared to other dramas that have actual plotlines. The only positive aspect is that the director is quite skilled at capturing food scenes. I suggest they should focus on making a culinary documentary like "A Bite of China" instead.
MewTwo1 year ago rating:6.2
Why did they focus so much on the food aspect? Am I watching "God of Cookery Little Fukui" or "Chinese Cuisine"? Every supporting character forcefully pushes the romantic storyline of the main couple. Even the male lead's doctor colleague is curious about why he spent 20 minutes at the convenience store, as if there was something significant. What? The supporting characters are all so accommodating and constantly smiling, it's more fantastical than the existence of the Trisolarans in "The Three-Body Problem." Is this how characters are portrayed in sweet dramas? The dubbing work is not for everyone. Every time the male lead lowers his voice to speak, I can't help but think of Rocket Raccoon imitating Star-Lord, it's really awkward. The special effects that accompany the female lead's reactions to the male lead's voice would be more suitable in a 2D animation with paper-cut characters. The main couple's storyline is decent, but it's only worth two stars. I'm sorry.

I watched it but had no desire to continue. There is no chemistry between Zhouye and Tan Jianci, and the lack of chemistry is a major flaw in my opinion. How can they attract the audience without it? Moreover, it's just another clichéd, boring, mediocre, and unremarkable melodrama. It's like chewing wax and lacks any freshness.

The storyline feels great and smooth. Each scene's storyline is interesting, and the ancient-style voice acting for each character truly feels authentic. I have to say that in many aspects, it's excellent for a modern idol drama. Every character exudes a youthful and beautiful vibe, making it feel relaxing and enjoyable to watch. It's quite addictive. I used to be immersed in the voice acting scene and knew all the major voice acting studios inside out. The perfectly portrayed voice acting studio in the drama is exactly like the real ones in reality. ???? They have an entertainment and relaxation area, and various facilities that I'm familiar with. Finally, there's a drama that depicts the daily work of voice actors to the audience. Tan Jianci's acting is natural and smooth, with his lines and vocal tone all on point, and the best part is that he is so handsome, so handsome! ☺️
Also, there are so many delicious-looking dishes in the drama that it's making me, someone who's currently on a diet, struggle all night whether to order from a food delivery app or not. ????
Lastly, I want to say that this is a high-quality domestic idol drama that warms the heart in this cozy winter. ???????? It's a stress-reliever for busy workers at the end of the year, and it's a sweet treat that suits my taste buds. ????

Reading the comments really cracked me up. Some of the usernames even look familiar. You guys are really something, giving this drama a one-star rating just based on its costume and makeup, and the songs are definitely more than just one star. Don't you care about the natural cycle of karma? You constantly resort to dirty tricks to showcase your outstanding, morally bankrupt character.

u1s1: The current TV dramas are really getting worse. Is this the so-called '95?? Beauty Dominance?? I agree. There aren't many good-looking actors born in 1995. They shine in ancient costumes, but somehow they don't look as good in modern outfits... The chemistry between the two leads is also lacking. It feels more like a brother-sister relationship.

The naturalness of the clipped tone before going on the microphone is so involuntary. The food scenes truly capture the essence of "A Bite of China," and the atmosphere of awkwardness and clumsiness in online dating feels so real and endearing.
Mo Qingcheng's overcoat looks great, and Zhouye's wardrobe choices are quite fitting, complementing her well.

Although I've only watched four episodes, I can't help but give it a perfect score! "Missing You So Much" holds great significance for me as a devoted fan of the second dimension. The paper-cut character that captured my heart during my middle school days has finally come to life on the screen. Tan Jianci is truly the perfect casting choice for this role. His lively eyes are even more charming than I imagined.
I absolutely adore the fashion choices of the female lead! A warm and healing large family should definitely have such a beautiful and outstanding girl! Although the scenes where people are swooning upon hearing the male lead's voice may be a bit exaggerated, as a voice enthusiast, I feel that rush of excitement when I hear the voice of my favorite character!
And let's not forget the perfect voice acting. The Morning-to-Dusk Club not only introduces us to many talented and quirky gods, but it also carries the dreams of both the characters and the audience. I know that when I witness the tenth-anniversary performance, tears of joy will fill my eyes!
I'm grateful to Mo Bao for bringing me into this wonderful world of the second dimension. And even though my favorite character may not have a solo song, may not be the most visually striking, and may not be active on social media, having his voice accompany me is forever the warmest harbor I could ask for.

I can't take it anymore! Tan Jianci's acting is almost laughable. If the CV industry continues at this level, it will probably always remain niche. And the worst part is, his voice isn't even pleasant to listen to... Let's not even talk about the plot. There's absolutely no connection between the two characters, it feels like the screenwriter forced it for no reason. Disgusting! Endless reciting of recipes and making phone calls on WeChat. I can't understand what they see in each other. It's like idols privately chatting with their fans.

Hmm, just a random bystander here. The plot is incredibly boring, and the food scenes feel like they were added just to fill up the runtime. And to top it off, the male lead is supposedly a doctor at a hospital but he frequently goes for recordings? Are you kidding me? Being a doctor should be his main job, isn't it? Isn't he busy? I've never seen a doctor with so much free time! It's hilarious! Anyway, after watching a few episodes, I have no desire to continue. I can already guess what will happen next!

The cringe factor is unbearable, even with the Shen Yi + Xiang Liu filter. The most awkward part is the recitation of recipes in every episode. Just because the female lead is a foodie doesn't mean she loves listening to recipes. It's purely awkward small talk, isn't it? Every time the male lead speaks to the female lead, his intentionally exaggerated voice acting reminds me of the scandals in the voice acting community, where they seduce fans and sleep with them. They've already met in the fourth episode, so let's see how it develops from there. For now, it's a two-star rating.

I binge-watched four episodes and the previews in one go! Not enough! It's simply not enough. ???? Overall evaluation: Readers of the novel say it's a faithful adaptation, and the cinematography, filters, and actors' performances are all excellent! It's a fantastic drama that's perfect for enjoying while eating.
???? Plot and theme: A doctor who can't cook isn't a good voice acting god???? After watching four episodes, my feeling is that I too can meet my own "Mo Qingcheng" ❤️ It feels very realistic, like a love story between a couple that could happen in real life. There are no overbearing CEOs; it's simply the daily life of two ordinary people appreciating and encouraging each other in their relationship.
They seem to have stepped out of the book, as if I could walk on campus and encounter Mo Qingcheng sending voice messages to the dormitory. The dormitory isn't exaggeratedly luxurious, it's very realistic. Sitting in the dormitory and binge-watching the series, I strongly empathize as a college student! It has a very down-to-earth vibe ? ???. The wardrobe choices are also carefully done, with winter outfits that can be directly copied.
???? Cinematography and art: The overall filter gives a warm and cozy feeling, like having a cup of hot milk tea on a winter day ? ???, very comforting.
???? Highlight recommendation: "Me and My Worries About Dating" haha, as a fangirl, I can totally relate!

Do Chinese dramas nowadays not dare to weaken the second male and female leads? Tan Jianci's voice is so unpleasant, even though he's supposed to be a top-notch voice actor. Zhou Ye looks so beautiful, and Hou Wenyuan is so handsome. Can we ship them as an evil cult couple? The second episode was even more awkward. In 2023, we still have such cringe-worthy plotlines like "Do you love me or not? " Save me, please! The male lead is so ugly it hurts my eyes. He's short, ugly, oily, and pretentious.

This drama exudes thoughtfulness in every aspect, and the experience of following it is great. In terms of romance, Director, you really emphasize the virtues of men, well done. The male lead really has the "Xiangliu filter" to thank; otherwise, the online communities might have organized a "Great Voice Actor Hunt" for "The Vocal World: Fang Touming." I used to see behind-the-scenes photos and be interested, but now all I want to do is take Aozi away and protect him. The voices that I praised in "Criminal Hunting Handbook" and "Longing for Love" have received a flood of negative reviews in this sweet drama. I've seen many comments saying it's awkward, come on, dating isn't like working in an office, awkwardness and sweetness are inseparable in love! How do I describe this feeling? When you care, you get nervous, and nervousness can lead to awkwardness. Your brain releases dopamine. Chosen to be a binge-worthy drama, but it turned out to be so unappealing that I couldn't even finish my meal. Sweet dramas are not something you can simply create without a proper storyline! What was even happening in the first episode? ! The two leads had inexplicable shyness plastered on their faces, their interactions were painfully awkward, and the so-called captivating voice of the male lead seemed really greasy to me. The entire backstory of how they met and everything was explained by supporting characters, and it was so boring that I'd rather watch the news, at least it has all the important information.
Furthermore, the female lead's portrayal of a cute and soft girl is really unsuitable. She purses her lips and blinks her eyes in a very awkward and stiff manner, like a facial paralysis patient undergoing rehabilitation.

The current plot is perfect for those who like sweet and present-day romance. The first two episodes were pleasantly surprising, and the director's skills surpassed my expectations. If the quality remains consistent, I won't change my rating. It reminds me of the ancient novels I read a long time ago, with the male lead being gentle, cunning, and alluring, and the female lead being hardworking and adorable. It's quite faithful to the original work and even adds some comedic scenes that weren't in the original. The background setting is also rich.

I recommend preparing some snacks while watching at night because it can easily make you hungry. ???
I'll give my one star to Yezi! Without Yezi, I would even want to give a negative rating... I was so excited to watch it with Yezi, but the male lead completely shocked me. He's so cheesy and unattractive.
After watching him, I feel like I won't be able to sleep. I dropped it after just one episode. I was initially so hopeful, but now I'm just incredibly disappointed.
As a modern romantic drama, it was quite enjoyable to watch! Zhou Yen and Nv'e were really adorable, and their styling was on point. I was truly moved by it. Tan Jianci's performance was really impressive, his acting felt very natural.
All in all, mutual unrequited love is the sweetest!
It makes me sick... Such a powerful ⭐ manipulation... Update: Because I criticized, some fans cursed at me and even blocked me. Impressive! Now people aren't allowed to speak the truth anymore.
I was just commenting on the plot and characters, not insulting the lead actors. Don't come and harass me privately. It's laughable.
As a fan of the original work, I feel that the casting choices for the characters in this drama are spot-on, capturing their essence quite well. Mo Qing is gentle and attentive, while Gu Sheng is soft, adorable, and enthusiastic.
The storyline also stays true to the original, and I've discovered that it was written by Mo Bao herself. I'm eagerly looking forward to the upcoming iconic scenes!
Tan Jianci's acting and lines are absolutely top-notch. He dares to claim the throne as one of the hottest and most talented actors. He's truly a hidden gem! Zhou Ye is so adorable, and their visuals are incredibly pleasing to my eyes.
The sweetness of it all leaves a permanent smile on my face. The gossip-eating group is also hilarious, and the music is incredibly catchy with a fast-paced rhythm. This drama brings me so much joy!
Ahhh!
I happened to pass by and take a glance, and wow, there are quite a few haters. Currently caught up with the 10 episodes released, and it's getting more and more exciting by the 8th and 9th episodes.
It's a voice acting drama, a traditional music gathering, and it's so thrilling. My youthful spirit is burning brightly (from a poor office worker). This drama exudes thoughtfulness in every aspect, and the experience of following it is great.
In terms of romance, Director, you really emphasize the virtues of men, well done. Tan Jianci, the male lead, I'm once again in awe of your acting skills. As long as you're in a drama, I know it will be good and worth following.
It's another malicious drama that has left me dumbfounded with its nonsensical plot. Who can resist the urge to cringe at this foolish storyline? Zhou Ye keeps boasting about his stunning appearance, but he doesn't look good in the drama at all.
He acts like a fool, either being awkward or overly artificial. Tan Jianci doesn't quite fit the image of a modern idol. There's zero chemistry between the two of them. Let's just move on and forget about it...
Ancient-style aesthetics and dubbing have always been elements I love. Although they have slowly faded from the mainstream, I still pay attention to them. Tan Jianci is really good, and I really like his voice.
From the trailers and behind-the-scenes footage, the singing parts and dialogue delivery truly impressed me. I'm looking forward to the upcoming plot.
Once the style is changed, it's easy to come across as fake.
I haven't seriously watched a modern drama in many years, but I didn't skip a single second of this show. The actors, plot, cinematography, color grading, atmosphere, and OST are all perfect.
It was incredibly enjoyable to watch, so I'm giving it a full five stars as encouragement. If there are any issues later on, I may reconsider my rating, but I doubt it.
I suddenly have this unexplainable confidence in the director and the actors.
Fake girl, the synopsis is completely misleading. They actually cast her as a naive little bunny. The love story makes no sense, the interactions are so awkward, and the clueless fangirl is manipulated and completely lost.
This idle heart surgeon + wealthy business partner + crazy chef who memorizes recipes can still leisurely flirt with girls in the recording studio, like a scammer. The few people cheering in the recording studio are so disgusting.
A very uncomfortable drama.
Male Lead: Braised chicken with eggplant... bubble sound version.
Female Lead: I love it!
Female Lead: I'm here~ Clothespin sound version.
Male Lead: I love it!
Watching this, I'm like??? Sweating profusely. Right from the first episode, it's like this.
It's as if the audience is just a part of your play. And the dubbing isn't even bubble sound, thank you very much. Hou Wenyuan's styling, bangs, and voice are all satisfying. She's fierce yet elegant, striking a perfect balance.
It's so good! My standard for a modern romance drama is sweetness, with various forms of sweetness. I've seen many comments saying it's awkward, come on, dating isn't like working in an office, awkwardness and sweetness are inseparable in love!
How do I describe this feeling? When you care, you get nervous, and nervousness can lead to awkwardness. Your brain releases dopamine. This kind of atmosphere is the inevitable path for two strangers who have mutual feelings and develop thoughts beyond friendship.
I absolutely love watching this period of ambiguity before officially becoming a couple.
I've been in this circle for over a decade, and Tan Jianci's voice acting skills are not just god-tier, he can make a living in commercial dubbing. That's more than enough for an actor.
It's not interesting to criticize just for the sake of it. The entire cast delivers stellar performances. I've watched up to episode 12, and it's an excellent niche-oriented work.
It excels in its niche setting with careful execution and thoughtful considerations. It's an adult's utopia of love, telling a pure love story within a suspended setting, reminiscent of youth.
No need to separately praise the OST. It's the top-notch sweet drama and my best idol drama of 2023. PS: I've reached this age only to discover that I also love watching sweet dramas.
Haha!
I've watched all four episodes, and it kept me smiling sweetly throughout the whole time. Haha, I didn't expect this adaptation of such an old novel to turn out quite well, and the pacing is also quite fast.
Tan Jianci's rendition of the song "Wan Gu Cui Sha" is truly beautiful, instantly taking me back to the world of ancient-style music. I've had it on repeat.
After watching four episodes, I would give this drama about a 7.5 rating. No actors made me feel disconnected, the plot is reasonable, and the characters' values are normal. The director is quite skilled in matching the background music. However, I've seen many people awkwardly criticizing it, so I'm giving it five stars.
It portrays online relationships very realistically, and those who don't understand the plot or find it awkward probably haven't experienced online dating. Personally, when I had online relationships before, it was just like this. At the beginning, I didn't know what to talk about on the phone, so I just tried to flirt, but it often felt awkward.
I have to say that the drama did a good job of making it relatable.
Super sweet! It's super friendly to my eyes and ears. I love the funny parts as well. Don't miss it if you like romantic comedies.
And the OST in it is really good and enjoyable. It's well worth the time spent on its production.
The middle school novel I liked has been beautifully adapted. Who understands the feeling? The screenwriter is still the original author, Erbao, crying.
Overall, I'm happy to say that this is a very beautiful drama!
Tan Jianci, I love him so much! His portrayal of Mo Qingcheng is exactly like how he was described in the book, even surpassing my imagination of Mo Qingcheng. I can only say, Tan Teacher, please continue acting in your remaining years.
Watching your dramas is our fortune.
Just finished watching the first four episodes. It's a refreshing and super sweet drama. The male lead has an incredibly deep voice, so mesmerizing. The female lead's acting is fantastic! The music in it is also very refreshing, with a touch of ancient charm!
So far, it's really good! I highly recommend it for those who enjoy watching sweet dramas! Oh, and it's been a while since I checked the ratings, but seeing all those question marks filling the screen scared me.
Who are these people giving malicious low ratings? I don't understand...
Tan Jianci's voice is so pleasant to listen to, and he can even change his vocal tone. The plot and dialogue in the drama are captivating, giving a gentle and enduring feeling. It's healing and comforting.
Zhou Ye also did a great job portraying that adorable and lovable girl. The chemistry between the two is fantastic! I highly recommend it. Let's all watch it and bask in the warm winter sun!
After watching three and a half episodes, I'd like to give my evaluation. It's on a completely different level from the trailer and much more enjoyable.
The friends and family members on both sides of the main characters are lovely and provide strong support.
I'm looking forward to how the script develops for the two supporting characters in the future.
I'm very satisfied with the casting of the actors, 5 stars. I'm very satisfied with the makeup and styling, 5 stars. I'm very satisfied with the music, 5 stars. I'm very satisfied with the filter used, 5 stars.
I'm very satisfied with this heartwarming story, 5 stars. It's an incredibly warm and healing drama, full of love. There's no melodrama, no love triangles, no angsty literature.
It's the kind of love we all long for, where we appreciate and draw closer to each other.
