Episode 10 recap: Zhang Dagui and Chi Yue discussed business.

Zhang Dagui returned to his hometown to pay respects to his ancestors, accompanied personally by the village chief. Li Lao Tai, relying on her seniority and being Li Ping's mother, stayed by his side as well. Li Cui was responsible for the arrangements, which should have been a high-profile event. However, the dishes he prepared lacked uniqueness. Zhang Dagui looked left and right and couldn't find any dish worthy of picking up his chopsticks, so he had to put them down. Seeing an opportunity, Chi Yue approached Zhang Dagui first. Li Cui and Li Lao Tai were worried that Chi Yue would ruin their plans, so they quickly pulled her away. Chi Yue stood not far away, cracking melon seeds and observing the situation.

Niu Dabao seized the opportunity and placed Chi Yue's braised dishes in front of Zhang Dagui. The village chief, who initially had little appetite, smelled the aroma and discreetly picked up a piece for Zhang Dagui, then enjoyed his own portion. Zhang Dagui noticed an extra piece of food on his plate and curiously took a bite. He found it incredibly delicious and immediately asked who made it.

Li Lao Tai, observing Zhang Dagui's exaggerated expression, was frightened and quickly claimed that Li Cui had nothing to do with the dish. The village chief spoke up and revealed that it was made by Chi Yue. Zhang Dagui became particularly interested and immediately arranged to meet with Chi Yue again to discuss business. The next day, as soon as Chi Yue met Zhang Dagui, he asked her how much money she wanted. Chi Yue then presented her well-drawn blueprint of a braised food cart and suggested that Zhang Dagui promote the sale of braised food through mobile carts. This way, they could save money on renting a shop and make braised food more accessible to people in the alleys.

Zhang Dagui thought Chi Yue had a great idea and asked her to state her conditions, just as Li Lao Tai suddenly arrived.
