Episode 20 recap: The Green Sparrow learned the truth and recognized Yun Huan.

The Green Sparrow hurried back to Mu Wang's residence, feeling lost and disoriented. Upon seeing the covered body of Yan Xun Cang, she wanted to lift the cloth and take a look, but she lacked the courage. Instead, she tearfully cut off a strand of her hair and placed it on the corpse as a tribute to Yan Xun Cang. Qing Cheng witnessed the Green Sparrow's actions and recalled how she had buried her hair in a pit as a child, making a wish to reconcile with her. Qing Cheng confirmed that the Green Sparrow was indeed the same person from before.

Seeing the Green Sparrow weeping in distress, Qing Cheng approached and scolded her, admonishing her that if she continued crying like that, she would cry herself to death. The Green Sparrow learned that Qing Cheng had helped Yan Xun Cang escape from Yun Huan's pursuit, and the body before her was a decoy arranged by Qing Cheng to deceive her. She realized that she had misunderstood Yun Huan and regretted her decisive actions at the time. The Green Sparrow immediately rushed to find Yun Huan, but the strategist prevented her from entering.

The strategist exposed the Green Sparrow's identity and explained that Yun Huan had recognized her long ago. However, he believed that the identity of Mu Wang's consort was safer for the Green Sparrow, so he had refrained from revealing their connection. As for the events of the past, Yun Huan had been pressured by Mu Wang and had to injure the Green Sparrow in order to save her life. He blamed himself for betraying Yun Huan's trust and allowing Yan Xun Cang to rescue the Green Sparrow first.

The Green Sparrow never expected the truth of the matter to be like this. She recalled how, when Yun Huan had gone to battle years ago, she had deliberately marked a red birthmark on her own neck and pricked herself with a needle to create another one. When Yun Huan woke up and saw the matching birthmarks on their hands, he couldn't help but be overwhelmed with excitement, knowing that it signified the Green Sparrow's willingness to recognize him.
