Episode 12 recap: Song Xing Chen rejected Su Qing Che.
Gao Qing Yin mentioned her engagement to Su Qing Che, which surprised Song Xing Chen. Su Qing Che rushed over and discovered that Gao Qing Yin was pretending to be sick. Song Xing Chen arrived and found that Su Qing Che was also there.Song Xing Chen left first, and Su Qing Che mentioned that it was raining and asked Song Xing Chen to let him give her a ride home. However, Song Xing Chen declined the offer. Song Xing Chen pointed out that since Su Qing Che already had an engagement, he shouldn't be trying to pursue her.
Su Qing Che was astonished and had no idea when he got engaged. Song Xing Chen believed that Gao Qing Yin, being a girl, wouldn't make up such a lie in public. Su Qing Che insisted that he genuinely had no engagement and asked Song Xing Chen to trust him.
Song Xing Chen admitted that she didn't know which of Su Qing Che's words were true and which were false. Su Qing Che gave Song Xing Chen a love token, explaining that he had told Gao Qing Yin the password because he was afraid his grandfather would forget it. He had already changed the password and only shared it with Song Xing Chen. If his grandfather forgot it and he wasn't at home, he asked her to request it from him.
Song Xing Chen accepted the love token but said that she still needed to reconsider their relationship. On Song Xing Chen's father's birthday, her mother invited Tang Rui Ze to celebrate together with their master. Tang Rui Ze also brought a gift for Song Xing Chen's father and had a meal with them.
Su Qing Che originally intended to find Song Xing Chen but saw her interacting intimately with Tang Rui Ze, so he left first.
Regarding their brand's current agency report, Song Xing Chen and her team had already sold all the previous inventory and now needed to bring in new products. They also planned to renovate the store, so Han Xiao Li mentioned that she would inquire about finding a carpenter to help with the changes.
Han Xiao Li posted on her social media, and when Lu Qun saw it, he contacted her and offered to help. However, Su Qing Che didn't agree to go. Lu Qun said that if Su Qing Che went, he would find out the situation between Song Xing Chen and her ex-boyfriend. Su Qing Che replied that he didn't want to know and that he also had a temper. Lu Qun didn't say anything, leaving Su Qing Che to sulk on his own.
Lu Qun brought some people from his team to help with the renovation at Song Xing Chen's place, and Su Qing Che eventually showed up too. During a break, they had some water, and Su Qing Che said his hands were dirty, so he couldn't drink. He asked Song Xing Chen to pour water for him, and everyone started teasing them.
Su Qing Che stopped Song Xing Chen and she asked him why he was here in their workplace. Su Qing Che asked about Song Xing Chen's relationship with Tang Rui Ze, and Song Xing Chen explained that Tang Rui Ze was her father's student and had come to celebrate her father's birthday.
Song Xing Chen stated that she had one good quality, which was that she never looked back. Meanwhile, the Polar Night Rescue Team received a mission from the Women's Federation to teach women some self-defense knowledge. They were going to split into two groups, and Su Qing Che and his team would lead one of them. Song Xing Chen and Su Qing Che were paired together, and they had a written test at the boxing arena. Song Xing Chen almost fell, but Su Qing Che caught her, and everyone around them started teasing them.
