Episode 10 recap: Yao Chen was taken by Mu Gu to Zhongzhou, while Xun Er returned to the Gu Clan to trace her ancestral roots.

Xiao Yan, filled with anger, found Han Feng. New grievances and old hatreds converged as he sternly reprimanded Han Feng for deviating from the right path and plotting against their master, which was the first crime. The second crime was his alliance with the Soul Hall, being an accomplice to the tigers. The third crime was injuring his father with a hidden arrow. Xiao Yan then unleashed a series of three strikes on Han Feng, leaving him on the verge of death. Han Feng, gasping for breath, sought help from Mu Gu, but Mu Gu, seeing no further use for Han Feng, mercilessly killed him.

Xiao Yan hurriedly stepped in front of Yao Chen, warning Mu Gu not to harm her. Mu Gu praised Xiao Yan for his integrity while condemning Yao Chen and her disciples for reducing the once prosperous Yun Shan Sect to ruins. Seeing Mu Gu distorting the truth, Yao Chen refused to engage in further conversation and immediately attacked him. However, she was suppressed by Mu Gu's evil energy.

Mu Gu bound Yao Chen and Xiao Yan together, stating his intention to acquire both the Bone Spirit Cold Fire and the two different types of alien fires within Xiao Yan. Determined to protect Xiao Yan, Yao Chen gritted her teeth and resolved to perish alongside him. With a loud noise, Xiao Yan was saved, but Yao Chen and Mu Gu disappeared without a trace.

Although the battle at Yun Shan Sect resulted in the deaths of Yun Shan and Han Feng, and Xiao Zhan was also harmed, the whereabouts of Yao Chen, their master, taken by Mu Gu, remained unknown. Xiao Yan's mood sank, and he wept uncontrollably. Xun Er approached him and gently comforted him. Xiao Yan was full of remorse, as he only wanted to protectthe people he loved, but ended up being unable to protect anyone. His father had taken a blow meant for Han Feng, and his master's fate was uncertain.

Xun Er persuaded him that he was now the new patriarch of the Xiao family, a disciple of the Falling Star Pavilion, and most importantly, her older brother. She told Xiao Yan that although she was from the Gu Clan, she would always stand by his side, and his responsibilities were also her responsibilities. Xiao Yan became the new patriarch of the Xiao family and led the Xiao clan in holding a grand funeral for Xiao Zhan.

During his father's funeral, Xiao Yan made a solemn promise to remember his father's words and soar high like a young eagle, taking up the responsibility of the Xiao family and fighting against the Soul Hall. Xiao Yan arrived at the Naji Region, where memories of him and his master Yao Chen were everywhere. He felt even more desolate, but then he suddenly heard Yao Chen's urgent voice instructing him to go to Zhongzhou. Although he didn't see Yao Chen's figure, Xiao Yan was filled with joy, knowing that Yao Chen was still alive. Her instructions to go to Zhongzhou indicated that she was likely there.

Indeed, Mu Gu had brought Yao Chen to a sub-hall of the Soul Hall in Zhongzhou. He persuaded Yao Chen to hand over the Bone Spirit Cold Fire and submit to the Soul Hall, claiming that only the Soul Hall was worthy of her allegiance.

Yao Chen rebuked him for losing his original nature and betraying his own soul to the Soul Hall. Mu Gu dismissed her criticism, believing that being chosen by the Soul Hall's last Lord, Hun Mie Sheng, was a stroke of luck. Despite being hunted by the Soul Hall in the past, they had also saved him. Most importantly, the Soul Hall offered him something that no one else could.

Yao Chen tried to persuade him to turn back, but Mu Gu idolized the strong. He believed that as long as he controlled the strongest power, he would become the master of the world. Mu Gu told Yao Chen that he had accepted the soul lock from Lord Hun Mie Sheng. As long as he obtained the alien fire for nourishment, he could continually enjoy its power. Yao Chen condemned him with anguish, asking if he knew how much blood stained that soul chain. Enraged, Mu Gu used the soul chain to hang Yao Chen, forcing him to reflect on his stubbornness.

Xiao Yan found Gu Yao and informed him of his plan to rescue their master in Zhongzhou. Gu Yao knew it wouldn't be easy and assured Xiao Yan that the Gu Clan would not sit idly by. He handed Xiao Yan the results of the investigation on the Black-Corner Region's army, providing him with support to rescue Master Yao Chen in Zhongzhou.

After expressing his gratitude, Xiao Yan asked Gu Yao to escort Xun Er back to the Gu Clan. He promised that one day he would go to the Gu Clan and compete with Gu Yao to prove his ability to protect Xun Er. Reluctantly, Xun Er and Xiao Yan bid farewell. Xun Er brought the Gu Clan's secret technique, the Emperor Seal Art, and taught Xiao Yan how to practice it. This way, they could communicate using the Emperor Seal Art when they met in the future. However, they couldn't use it frequently, as they risked being discovered by the Gu Clan and having it taken away.

Xun Er was worried about Xiao Yan facing the Soul Hall alone. Xiao Yan assured her that he would go to the Gu Clan to find her, regardless of whether she was Gu Xun Er or Xiao Xun Er. She would always be his Xun Er. Reluctantly, Xun Er bid farewell to Xiao Yan and returned to the long-separated Gu Clan with the company of Gu Yao.

The Gu Clan welcomed Xun Er with great joy. After dressing up, she followed the clan's traditions and paid respects to her ancestors. When her father asked if she had brought back the Ancient Jade, Xun Er claimed she couldn't find it. Gu Yao understood her intention and corroborated her statement, confirming that everything she said was true.
