Episode 20 recap: Xiao Yan and Xun'er searched for the three transformations of Tianhuo, and Xiao Yi Xian became a disciple of the Falling Star Pavilion.
After listening to Xun'er's persuasion, Xiao Yan no longer felt anxious. The two of them accompanied each other along the way, reminiscing about their childhood memories. When Xiao Yan was thirteen years old, he lost all his Dou Qi. He went up the mountain every day to practice Dou Qi, while Xun'er silently cared for him by his side. However, Xiao Yan didn't realize that he had lost his Dou Qi because he couldn't sense it anymore.
The two of them arrived at a small river where they happily splashed water at each other, reminiscent of their innocent childhood. In the evening, they lit a bonfire in the woods and fell asleep in each other's arms. In the middle of the night, Xiao Yan was awakened by a sound. He quickly pulled Xun'er and ran, but they were both shot by arrows from hidden assailants. The arrows were poisoned, and after being hit, they blacked out and fainted.
When Xiao Yan woke up, he found himself and Xun'er locked in a room. Soon, a female leader named Tang Huo Er, the village chief of Xuan Yan Village, entered. Tang Huo Er ordered her men to bring them each a large jar of medicine and commanded them to drink it to detoxify. They were also forbidden from activating their Dou Qi within three days, or else their meridians would be severed.
Tang Huo Er informed them that once they entered this place, they could never leave. If they tried to escape, they would be executed. Seeing the situation, Xiao Yan and Xun'er had no choice but to follow the orders of the village chief and temporarily stay. Xun'er took up embroidery, while Xiao Yan was assigned to forge iron. He noticed that the flames in the furnace were unusual, which surprised him.
Embroidery was not Xun'er's strong suit, and her fair hands were covered in bloodstains from pricks. Seeing this, Xiao Yan hurriedly applied medicine and bandaged her wounds. He felt sorry for her when he saw her fall asleep quickly due to exhaustion. The village chief seemed peculiar in every way, indicating that she was extraordinary. Xiao Yan had a gut feeling that she must be related to the Xiao Clan's relics.
Suddenly, a massive fire broke out in Xuan Yan Village, and Tang Huo Er suspected that Xiao Yan and the others were behind it.
At that moment, a villager rushed over to report that a child from their village was trapped in a cave due to the fire. Without hesitation, Xiao Yan ran towards the cave, fearlessly braving the blazing flames, and successfully rescued the child unharmed.
While exploring the cave, Xiao Yan unexpectedly discovered the Xiao Clan's emblem there. He pushed aside a stone pillar engraved with the emblem and found a box inside. Tang Huo Er expressed her gratitude to Xiao Yan, who took out the box and opened it, revealing the Tianhuo Sanxuan Transformation he had been searching for.
Tang Huo Er was astonished upon seeing it. Xiao Yan presented an ancient jade as proof of his Xiao Clan heritage, and Tang Huo Er recounted the story of how the Xiao Clan had once helped the villagers. Ever since then, the Xuan Yan Village had been guarding the treasure box on behalf of the Xiao Clan. Now, Xiao Yan had once again aided them, and Tang Huo Er agreed to return the box to its rightful owner.
As Xiao Yan and Xun'er made their way back, they marveled at the existence of people who preferred peace over conflict and sought a tranquil life away from disputes. Upon returning to the Falling Star Pavilion, Xiao Yan activated his Dou Qi and obtained the Tianhuo Sanxuan Transformation, the extraordinary flame of the Xiao Clan. The Xiao Clan emblem appeared on his forehead, and Feng Zun Zhe expressed his satisfaction, remarking that another Xiao Clan member capable of dealing with the Soul Hall had emerged. This also indicated that Xiao Yan would henceforth embark on a dangerous path in life, bearing great responsibilities and paying a significant price for it.
Xiao Yi Xian tirelessly transcribed medicinal formulas, staying up all night. Exhausted, she fell asleep on the desk. Xun'er walked by and, witnessing her diligence, couldn't help but admire her. She took out the transcribed text by Xiao Yi Xian and discovered a piece of paper filled with Xiao Yan's name. Xun'er seemed to understand Xiao Yi Xian's feelings but discreetly returned the paper as it was, covered Xiao Yi Xian with a coat, and quietly left.
With the Pill Gathering Competition approaching, Feng Zun Zhe told Mu Qing Luan to join forces with Xiao Yan and participate in the competition to assist him in obtaining the three thousand Yan Yan Fires. Xiao Yi Xian stated her willingness to accompany them, and Xun'er eagerly recommended Xiao Yi Xian to Feng Zun Zhe.
Feng Zun Zhe stated that the Falling Star Pavilion doesn't save outsiders, but since he had already treated Xiao Yi Xian, she could become a disciple of the Falling Star Pavilion. Xiao Yi Xian was overjoyed and was about to pay her respects to Feng Zun Zhe when he indicated that such formalities were unnecessary in the Falling Star Pavilion. However, since she was now a disciple of the Falling Star Pavilion, it was only natural for her to participate in the Pill Gathering Competition alongside Xiao Yan.
