Episode 7 recap: Bai Shan died in order to save Xiao Yan and Xun Er. The Yun Shan Sect has conspired with the Soul Palace.
Han Feng's face was severely burned while trying to obtain the Heartflame, and the Soul Palace's Elder Mu Gu doesn't understand why Han Feng harbors such deep hatred for his own master, Yao Chen. Not only did Han Feng previously attempt to kill him with poison, but now he wants to exterminate Yao Chen completely. Through gritted teeth, Han Feng answers that it was because the Soul Palace summoned him before, but now Yao Chen is even more detestable. Xiao Yan and Xun Er bring Bai Shan back to Jia Nan and inform the Dean that Bai Shan died to save them. Everyone is deeply moved by the news, and Hu Jia bursts into tears. After obtaining the pill, Xiao Yan gives it to Yao Chen to take. However, Han Feng tampered with the pill, and when Yao Chen wakes up, it turns out to be Han Feng. Xiao Yan can't help but raise his weapon and attack, narrowly missing killing Yao Chen with a strike. Yao Chen quickly evades and rebukes Xiao Yan.
Han Feng and Mu Gu arrive at the Yun Shan Sect and meet with the Sect Master, Yun Shan, explaining their intentions. However, Yun Shan dismisses their proposal with disdain, believing that he is more than capable of dealing with the Xiao family. When Mu Gu, the respected elder, hears this, he smiles faintly and says that as long as Yun Shan obeys the Soul Palace, the entire Gamma Empire will be under his control. With that, he transfers a surge of spiritual energy to Yun Shan, who feels refreshed and clear-minded. Meanwhile, Xiao Zhan is being tortured in a prison cell in the Yun Shan Sect.
