Episode 5 recap: A person like me.

Wang Qinghui brought a plate of well-prepared sweet and sour pork and went to find She Zhenzhen, but unexpectedly only encountered Teddy. So the two of them started chatting. Chen Ting enjoyed reading novels, but he couldn't continue reading because he couldn't memorize all the key points. She Zhenzhen would get angry. Just when he was engrossed in reciting, he was suddenly interrupted by Zhang Tian Guan. Zhang Tian Guan was eager to know Chen Ting's advice. It was the first time he showed his novel to someone, so he cared a lot about Chen Ting's suggestions and feedback. Chen Ting said he was going to memorize the key points, but in his heart, he was actually deeply attracted by the novel.

While speaking, Chen Ting couldn't help but draw on the blackboard, explaining each move and technique in great detail. Zhang Guan was amazed and jaw-dropped at what he heard. However, Zhang Tian Guan's martial arts manual was currently missing; otherwise, he could have lent it to Zhang Tian Guan. Zhang Tian Guan was instantly captivated by Chen Ting's demonstration. He never expected that Chen Ting had such extraordinary talent in this field.

Lin Hao was busy the whole day, studying the tiger-fighting manual. He even thought it would be great if he could communicate with the author of the manual. Little did they know that the owner of the manual was Chen Ting himself. She Zhenzhen saw Teddy and Wang Qinghui waiting for her and was curious why Wang Qinghui came to bring them food. After asking for a while, Wang Qinghui hesitated and said it was because Chen Ting thought she worked hard in her tutoring sessions, so he specially brought them food. Unexpectedly, She Zhenzhen was quite happy to hear that.

Wang Qinghui walked gloomily and accidentally ran into Lin Hao. Chen Ting initially wanted to be heroic, but they both ended up being taken to the rooftop, where they were frightened by the actions of others. Chen Ting's cry for help attracted the principal, and at a critical moment, the principal intervened and stopped their behavior. Chen Ting took advantage of having the principal's support and recounted all of Lin Hao's actions at the school. The principal was very angry and arranged for Lin Hao to clean all the toilets in the school as punishment. This made Lin Hao feel extremely embarrassed, but he had no choice but to accept the principal's punishment.

Chen Ting didn't remember any of the key points, and She Zhenzhen didn't indulge him either. She said if there was punishment, there should be punishment. When She Zhenzhen returned home and saw her father at the door, he had a face of disdain. She was already accustomed to her father's words and actions and didn't take them seriously at all. Chen Ting was reading a novel in class when he was unexpectedly called upon by the teacher. To his surprise, his accidental answer sparked his interest and instantly made him feel that studying was a very interesting thing. From then on, Chen Ting spent his days either studying or practicing hands-on.

Every day was spent in the classroom or training room, and She Zhenzhen occasionally helped him with tutoring. This made him increasingly interested in the subject matter. Both classmates and teachers changed their views of him. Time quickly passed, and it was already the mid-term exam. The teacher gave the class a difficult problem: to study a motorcycle. This frustrated everyone except Chen Ting, who knew that he had a backer, and that backer was She Zhenzhen. She had an immense passion for automotive repair and was exceptionally talented. However, her father believed that automotive repair was a man's job, and women should only cook and do household chores.

Chen Ting kept it a secret from She Zhenzhen and let her study the non-working motorcycle. He successfully achieved the highest score in the class and even received a commendation in the form of a mobile red flag. He became a model student, which was truly cause for celebration. However, it also made Chen Ting very troubled because this achievement wasn't entirely his own, and he had to represent the excellent students and share his experience. He didn't know how to handle it.

No one understood, and no one understood why Chen Ting suddenly became so passionate about studying. Even Lin Hao suspected that something was amiss. He couldn't believe that Chen Ting could suddenly become so passionate about learning. She Zhenzhen and Teddy saw Chen Ting's photo in a newspaper column and heard various discussions among their classmates. She seemed to understand something, and she had specifically asked Chen Ting about it before. It was clear that Chen Ting hadn't told the truth, which made She Zhenzhen very unhappy.
