Feng Ming explicitly told Gu Jin that he wanted half of the spiritual power of A Yin's Water Condensing Beast's inner core. Upon hearing Feng Ming's offer, A Yin was about to agree, as Feng Ming promised them both a share of the Immortal Fate of Feng Yin. However, Gu Jin stopped her because the inner core's spiritual power was A Yin's life essence, and giving it away would be akin to suicide.
After Gu Jin and A Yin rushed over, they witnessed Xian Zhu undergoing punishment from forty-nine lightning tribulations, with other senior brothers from Da Ze Mountain also present. At A Yin's suggestion, although everyone helped Xian Zhu endure a few lightning punishments, once the tribulations ended, Xian Zhu's immortal energy had already left his body. Holding the token, they easily encountered the King of the Netherworld, Ao Ge. Ao Ge told Gu Jin that if A Yin, the Water Condensing Beast, could provide half of the inner core's spiritual power, he would release Xian Zhu.

A Yin was trying to persuade Gu Jin when the Three Lives Stone suddenly barged in and advised them not to agree to Ao Ge's request. According to the agreement between Xiu Yan and Ao Ge, anyone who possessed the special token could not only instantly see Ao Ge but also make one request that he would fulfill. Upon hearing the Three Lives Stone's words, Ao Ge appeared visibly uneasy but presented Gu Jin and A Yin with two choices. After Gu Jin and A Yin left, Ao Ge scolded the Three Lives Stone and then went to Xiu Yan's tower to chat with him. Xiu Yan told Ao Ge not to overthink it, as even if A Yin left behind half of her spiritual power, it was uncertain whether his inner core could be repaired. He also advised Ao Ge not to always wear a stern face since now, in the realm of the Netherworld, only the Three Lives Stone dared to joke with him.
In fact, it was Xiu Yan who had instructed the Three Lives Stone to help Gu Jin and A Yin. Everyone was overjoyed to see Xian Zhu awaken, but after waking up, he learned that the woman he loved had already passed away and coughed up some blood in distress. While A Yin was picking the fruit, Hong Chou pushed her off a cliff. Luckily, Xian Shan appeared just in time, and A Yin was saved from harm. Xian Shan discovered that Hong Chou's intention in harming A Yin was to prevent Gu Jin from falling in love with her because A Yin was Gu Jin's destined tribulation.
To help Gu Jin avoid his tribulation, Xian Shan came up with a win-win solution. There was a treasure in Da Ze Mountain called the Forget-Memory Flute. Xian Shan informed Hong Chou that this treasure could extract Gu Jin's feelings.
