Episode 17 recap: Hua Shu framed A Yin but was exposed by others.
A Yin personally made pastries and was full of joy, intending to give them to Gu Jin. However, she was shocked to see Hua Shu tidying up Gu Jin's clothes, and the two were extremely intimate. Unable to bear it, she left in sorrow, even though the pastries fell on the ground. Hua Shu, aware of Gu Jin's identity, tried to get close to him and naturally regarded A Yin as a thorn in her side.
Originally, A Yin was ordered to go to the Youming Realm to welcome Xiu Yan. However, the Red Sparrow deliberately changed the time of the Tianmen Order, so Xiu Yan did not wait for A Yin and arrived at the Heavenly Palace ahead of time. Seizing the opportunity, Hua Shu publicly criticized A Yin and demanded that she apologize to Xiu Yan.
A Yin hurriedly took out the Tianmen Order to explain, but to her surprise, the time had changed. Hua Shu then decided to punish her. Emperor Lan Feng, in order to successfully hold the Lingyao Festival, instructed all the immortals to be cautious and not make any mistakes. Considering the long-standing grievances between the immortal and demonic realms, Emperor Lan Feng planned to use this opportunity to turn hostility into friendship with the demonic realm and return the bone of the Mountain Emperor Zhenyi, a sacred object of the demonic realm.
As the bone was nurtured by the Senluo Formation, the immortals were worried that the spiritual energy would cause damage to it. After contemplating for a moment, Emperor Lan Feng decided to create a protective spirit arrow to temporarily store the bone. The Hall of Military Affairs was ordered to cooperate with the Hall of War Gods to complete the task, and A Yin volunteered, hoping to meet Gu Jin frequently. On the other hand, Hua Shu personally reported this matter to Hong Chou, who was dissatisfied with A Yin's repeated approaches to Gu Jin. Hong Chou brought Hua Shu to find Gu Jin under the pretext of discussing manufacturing and deliberately set up a protective barrier at the gate.
Gu Jin treated Hua Shu with great respect and appeared distant. Despite Hua Shu's frequent attempts to show goodwill, she gained no advantage. Due to the barrier, Gu Jin and Hua Shu were in the same room, and the atmosphere was somewhat tense. Hua Shu noticed the well-made battle robe from the Hall of Military Affairs and suggested that Gu Jin try it on. She took the initiative to help him put it on, but A Yin witnessed this seemingly intimate scene and immediately left in sadness, abandoning the pastries.
However, in reality, Gu Jin either ignored or outright rejected Hua Shu's advances, giving her no hope. Hua Shu still shamelessly tried to get close to Gu Jin. Suddenly, the Ancient Emperor's Sword rushed out to attack Hua Shu. After being reprimanded by Gu Jin, it turned around and broke the barrier in the hall. Hua Shu had no reason to stay any longer.
Due to the barriers surrounding the secret treasury of the Heavenly Palace, only Emperor Lan Feng and Emperor Yufeng's combined opening token could unlock it. Qing Lin knew that the most urgent task was to find a powerful ally, so she sent a letter to someone with high authority, which also contained pills that could enhance their cultivation. Peacock King went to the appointment, knowing that Qing Lin had taken possession of someone in the demonic realm and was ambitious to rule the Three Realms. As a condition for cooperation, Peacock King demanded to become the ruler of the immortal realm.
Gu Jin took the initiative to find A Yin and took her to see the sky full of bamboo dragonflies celebrating her birthday, which deeply moved A Yin. However, Gu Jin, still addressing her as his senior sister, showed concern for A Yin's marriage and said that if she could find her ideal immortal husband in the future, the Daze Mountain would host a splendid wedding for her.
A Yin felt a little uncomfortable upon hearing this. Even though Gu Jin remembered her birthday, he didn't remember that the bamboo dragonflies were his betrothal gift to her. Recently, A Yin had performed exceptionally well and gained recognition from Emperor Lan Feng. She was appointed as the supervisor of the Hall of Military Affairs' weapon storage, holding the position of a fifth-ranking celestial official.
A Yin couldn't wait to submit her application for a cave residence, but Hua Shu intercepted her. Hua Shu, who was trying to get close to Gu Jin, naturally saw A Yin as a thorn in her side. She secretly sabotaged A Yin's application and left only the names of the other celestial officials. Emperor Lan Feng hoped to mend his relationship with Hua Shu, but Hua Shu treated him with indifference.
Although Hua Shu had feelings for Emperor Lan Feng, she believed that the prosperity of the clan was more important than personal happiness. Since Emperor Lan Feng held the position of the Heavenly Emperor and was straightforward, he would not favor her or the Hundred Birds Island. Considering this, Hua Shu thought it would be better to cut ties quickly and find a new path.
The Youming Realm was invited to a banquet, and although Ao Ge didn't like such occasions, he attended because his younger brother wanted to discuss some transactions with them. Upon seeing the guest list, Hua Shu decided to personally receive the esteemed Kunlun Patriarch and assigned the eccentric Youming King, Ao Ge, to A Yin. She instructed the Red Sparrow to alter the time of the Tianmen Order, causing A Yin to offend Ao Ge completely.
As expected, A Yin arrived half an hour late and was about to explain when Hua Shu appeared with the Red Sparrow. The Tianmen Order in A Yin's hand had changed from the Rooster hour to the Monkey hour. Hua Shu took advantage of the situation to publicly rebuke A Yin, demanding that she apologize to Xiu Yan and even suggesting disciplinary measures against her. Ao Ge intervened and stopped Hua Shu's actions, seeing through her scheme. In her desperation, the maid Red Sparrow took all the blame upon herself.
Through this incident, A Yin had a slight change in her perception of Ao Ge and thanked him for his righteousness. However, Ao Ge didn't give up on A Yin's spiritual power and gave her a token that allowed her to freely enter and exit the Youming Realm. If she wanted to exchange her spiritual power for two Phoenix Immortal Herbs, she could come to him at any time. The Three Lives Stone, hidden in her clothes, was discovered by Ao Ge. Unable to send the stone back to the mortal realm, Ao Ge had no choice but to ask A Yin to take care of it.
Originally, the Three Lives Stone thought that Gu Jin and A Yin were destined lovers, but Gu Jin's attitude confused her. It wasn't until A Yin explained the whole story that she finally realized the truth. A Yin wanted to ask if the Three Lives Stone could control people's emotions and make them unconsciously engage in intimate actions. The Three Lives Stone gave a negative answer, confirming that Gu Jin truly liked her.
