Episode 22 recap: Lan Feng Emperor was killed by Hong Yi.
On the day of Lan Feng Emperor's wedding to Hua Shu, the guests in the audience saw the Peacock Princess in her magnificent attire and phoenix crown, but Lan Feng Emperor was nowhere to be seen. As whispers started to spread, Hua Shu became increasingly nervous and anxious. Just as she sent the red sparrow to check on the situation, a painful dragon roar echoed through the sky. Lan Feng Emperor appeared, dressed in a crimson dragon-embroidered robe, with a long spear pierced through his chest. Blood gushed out, staining his half-kneeling figure.
The death of Lan Feng Emperor shocked the immortals, and Hua Shu was overcome with grief. Upon inspecting the Mirror of the World, she discovered that it was connected to Hong Yi. Subsequently, Hua Shu led the entire Peacock Clan to Da Ze Mountain to demand justice, but they refused to listen to Gu Jin's explanation and were surrounded by a canopy that blocked out the sky.
The Divine Transformation Pill automatically shattered, and Yan Shuang carefully observed A Yin, sorrowfully revealing that A Yin's immortal energy was exhausted, a sign of impending death.
The immortal realm is so weak, isn't it? The demon realm easily wiped out Da Ze Mountain with just a few people. Many aspects of the story feel underdeveloped, and the system of titles in the immortal realm is not properly explained.
The world-building is also incomplete, making it difficult to understand why the villains have so much power. If the purpose was just to enjoy the satisfying comeback later on, then the excessive destruction in the beginning was unnecessary.
It's more important to have a well-connected plot. Perhaps I'm too mature for this kind of drama at my age.
