Episode 35 recap: Feng Yin and Gu Jin reconcile.
Hong Chou told Feng Yin that the reason she treated A Yin that way was because A Yin was Gu Jin's destined calamity. However, Feng Yin angrily rebuked her, saying that A Yin's life is still valuable and that Hong Chou's seemingly considerate behavior towards Gu Jin was actually arrogant and presumptuous. When Hua Shu discovered that Feng Yin was truly A Yin, she attempted to attack her. However, Feng Yin defeated Hua Shu and warned her that if she dared to interfere with Feng Yin's collaboration with Gu Jin again, she would face the consequences. Feng Yin found Yan Shuang and told him that Hong Yi was stubborn and that she needed to speak directly to him. However, Yan Shuang informed Feng Yin that forcing something would not yield good results and that she was now the queen of the Eagle Clan, no longer in the age of dreaming. He added that she was engaged to Lian Xi, who was a kind and suitable partner for her.
After hearing Yan Shuang's words, Feng Yin felt that the problem still lay with Hong Yi and decided to find a way to awaken him. Upon learning that Gu Jin had become a son-in-law on Wutong Island, Hong Chou thought Feng Yin was behaving inappropriately and hurriedly rushed over. She loudly demanded that Feng Yin come and see her. The elders, seeing Hong Chou's aggressive stance, worried that Feng Yin might be at a disadvantage and quickly went to find Feng Yuan. However, Feng Yuan smiled and told them that it might not necessarily be Feng Yin who would suffer a loss.
Indeed, before Hong Chou could speak, Feng Yin interrupted and reprimanded her. Upon hearing Feng Yin's scolding, Hong Chou quickly explained that the reason she treated A Yin that way was because A Yin was Gu Jin's destined calamity. However, Feng Yin angrily rebuked her, questioning whether A Yin's life was any less important and accusing Hong Chou of being arrogant and presumptuous, making decisions on her own without considering others, which not only harmed A Yin but also directly threatened Feng Yin.
Upon hearing this, Hong Chou quickly apologized to Feng Yin. At that moment, Feng Yuan suddenly arrived and accused Hong Chou of grave sins, nearly causing Little Phoenix to be unable to be born. Feng Yin, considering Hong Chou's role in raising A Yu, chose not to physically punish her but warned her to take responsibility for her actions in the future.
Gu Jin, who was standing nearby, learned that Hong Chou had nearly caused harm to A Yin and couldn't help but punish her, making her reflect on her actions while performing menial tasks. When Hua Shu learned about Hong Chou's punishment, she tried to sow discord and fabricate accusations against Feng Yin. However, Hong Chou did not dare to act impulsively and genuinely expressed remorse.
Seeing that Hong Chou was unwilling to help her, Hua Shu cursed Feng Yin and walked away. A Yu overheard Hua Shu insulting her sister and couldn't help but argue with her. Just as Hua Shu was about to discipline A Yu, Feng Yin suddenly appeared before her. Feng Yin first humiliated Hua Shu and then pointed to the execution platform, reminding her that it was the place where Hua Shu shattered her own inner core. Feng Yin warned Hua Shu that if she didn't behave, she would make her taste the pain she had once endured.
Hua Shu learned that Feng Yin was actually A Yin and suddenly attacked her. However, she was no match for Feng Yin, who easily defeated her with a single move and warned her that her previous tolerance was due to Lan Feng Emperor's presence. Feng Yin made it clear that if Hua Shu dared to cause trouble again, she shouldn't expect any mercy.
Unable to match Feng Yin's swordsmanship or insults, Hua Shu had no choice but to leave dejectedly. After Hua Shu's departure, Hong Chou suddenly approached and explicitly told Feng Yin how much Gu Jin loved her. She revealed the fights they had over Feng Yin, how she pressured Gu Jin to break up with A Yin to protect Daze Mountain, and how Gu Jin worked to create the Great Returning Pill to save Feng Yin.
Regarding Gu Jin accidentally killing A Yin, Gu Jin initially thought that Feng Yin's consumption of the Great Returning Pill would prevent her from being harmed by his primordial sword. However, when Yan Shuang exclaimed that Feng Yin's inner core had shattered, Gu Jin attempted to retract his sword but it was already too late. After injuring A Yin, Gu Jin began searching for A Yin's immortal essence and spent over a thousand years in the process, enduring countless hardships.
Upon hearing Hong Chou's words, Feng Yin finally realized how much Gu Jin had done for her behind the scenes. She had misunderstood Gu Jin all along. Feng Yin had a dream and brought Gu Jin into it. In the dream, it seemed like she had returned to the time when A Yin had just transformed into a human form, and Gu Jin showered him with love and affection.
The two of them arrived at a marketplace, but when Feng Yin suddenly turned around, she realized that Gu Jin hadn't followed. She hurriedly went back to find him, only to discover that he had gone to buy mung bean cakes for her. Unable to hold back her emotions, she threw herself into his arms and reproached him for leaving without a word, thinking that he had run away.
The dream ended there, and Feng Yin woke up, looking at Gu Jin by her side. She told him that they could let go of the past misunderstandings, and they shared a kiss. Hearing Feng Yin's words, Gu Jin playfully asked which misunderstanding she was referring to, but he understood that Feng Yin had forgiven him. As Feng Yin was about to leave after the kiss, Gu Jin suddenly embraced her, and the two of them shared a deep and affectionate kiss.
